This is just outrageous - like the rest of Stephen Miller's testimony yesterday. Reuters: "Republicans have vowed to find out who was involved, but Miller did not provide much of a road map." "Who is responsible for targeting these individuals?" asked Representative Kevin Brady, a Texas Republican. "I don't have names for you," Miller responded. "Republicans accused him of dodging their questions." "I'm hearing, 'I don't know, I don't remember, I don't recall, I don't believe,'" said Representative Dave Reichert of Washington. "You don't even know who investigated the case, but yet you say it was investigated." "Democrats seemed more...

GOP Rep.: White House ‘Hand-Selected’ Benghazi E-Mails By Andrew Johnson May 16, 2013 10:03 AM Representative Jason Chaffetz (R., Utah) said the White House e-mails about Benghazi that were released last night were “hand-selected” to leave out other important documents. “I know absolutely, for total certainty, this is just but a small smidgeon of what they have,” Chaffetz said. There are 25,000-pages worth of documents, he said, but the White House released only100 total pages. “The White House has hand-selected these,” he added.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) admitted on May 10 that “low level” staff in its Cincinnati office, supposedly “not motivated by political bias,” targeted 75 conservative tax-exempt organizations, including many Tea Party organizations applying for exemption under Section 501(c)4 of the tax code. The groups were singled out for audit and investigation because they used the names “Tea Party” and “Patriot.” Yet in July 2011, the IRS had warned employees to drop audits of donors to similar 501(c)4 organizations.

Some of you are already shaking your head and arguing with my headline. I can hear the conservative craniums rattling all across America’s fruited plains, her mountain’s majesty, and from sea to shining sea. Let me clarify my title. Let’s start with the first half: Obama Has Won! But you scream back angrily at me, “NO he hasn’t! He didn’t win! We’ll never admit defeat!” Good for you. I appreciate and respect your patriotism and tenacity. Unfortunately, you’re wrong. There’s no denying that one. He was re-elected, and he’s achieved every goal he set out to win short of disarming...

Caught playing politics with tragedy, what's next for the Obama administration and GOP investigators?“These changes don’t resolve all of my issues or those of my building’s leadership.” With that sentence, one in a series of emails and draft “talking points” leaked to Jonathan Karl of ABC News, the Obama administration was caught playing politics with Benghazi. Summaries of White House and State Department emails -- some of which were first published by Stephen F. Hayes of the Weekly Standard -- also contradict the White House version of events that led to U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice misleading the public about the cause...

(Massachusetts) Auditor finds 119 matches between day cares and sex offenders "A shocking state audit released today revealed 119 cases where addresses for registered sex offenders matched those of child care providers licensed by the beleaguered state Department of Early Education and Care. .... But Bump’s audit also discovered EEC — whose $197,585 a year commissioner Sherri Killins resigned earlier this month amid a Herald investigation — failed to ensure child-care providers run required CORI checks on staffers. .... In a one-year period, EEC didn’t perform a single unannounced inspection of a home-based child-care center, which are required by law,...

Another day, another one of my Benghazi Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests has been denied—this time from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). As previously reported, the CIA also denied my Benghazi FOIA request. Recall it was on September 11, 2012 when Ambassador Christopher Stevens, information management officer Sean Smith, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, were murdered by terrorists. President Barack Obama with then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice, former CIA chief, the ‘celebrated,’ philandering General David Petraeus, the brains behind the failed counter-insurgency policy called COIN in Afghanistan that is...

Posters comment....There is no more law if this isn't correctedMore than three months after the Justice Department administered a virtual slap on the wrist to global banking giant HSBC after a whistleblower’s report to WND of massive fraud was confirmed, Attorney General Eric Holder admitted to a Senate panel he believes some banks are too big to prosecute. Under questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee last Wednesday, Holder said he was not referring specifically to HSBC, because it would not be “appropriate,” but the message was clear. Banks the size of HSBC are “too big to jail,” as a member...

The U.S. Department of State once again has resumed its search for providers of high-end crystal stemware and other tabletop glassware, only this time the estimated cost has leaped back up a couple of million. The estimated price tag previously was $5.4 million, but had dipped to $3.5 million at the time of the initial report. That estimate has jumped to $5 million--though State now assures taxpayers that it will not spend more than $2 million on the glasses in any given year over the five year life of the contract.

Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin said on Sunday embattled Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) should keep his chairmanship of the Foreign Relations Committee despite an investigation into his dealings with a top donor. "Sen. Menendez has given us an assurance that there is no substance to these charges," the Democratic senator from Illinois said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "It's being looked at by the Ethics Committee. Of course, I can't comment beyond that." The Senate Ethics Committee is looking into Menendez's interaction with Salomon Melgen, a Florida eye surgeon who has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Menendez and...

AUSTIN, Texas – Parents of school children across Texas now are gaining access to a previously secret public school curriculum, according to an announcement from a state lawmaker. The CSCOPE program, an online offering that until now has prohibited, under penalty of law, teachers from sharing the lessons with parents, stirred up controversy because of its various lessons – some that were taken offline after the questions arose. Among those issues were that the curriculum at one point taught the Boston Tea Party was an act of terrorism and Christians were cannibals, and forced students to draw a socialist flag...

The allegations against Sen. Robert Menendez may have started with unsubstantiated stories about trysts with prostitutes, but questions about the lawmaker’s conduct have reached the point where they’re not focused on sex. A slow drip of national news reports about the New Jersey Democrat and his ties to Florida ophthalmologist and political donor Salomon Melgen have put his office on the defensive over an assortment of issues including a port contract in the Dominican Republic and a possible intervention in a Medicare billing dispute involving the doctor. Menendez tried to move forward with his normal agenda Thursday, holding a morning...

Republican National Committee spokesman Sean Spicer told Breitbart News that the facts don't all add up in New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez’s story when it comes to his reimbursement of flights aboard a Democratic mega-donor's private jet. Spicer specifically questions the issues surrounding how Menendez paid such a huge chunk out of his pocket for the flights. “The notion that anyone would have spent such a massive percent of their assets on previously unreported flights until it was discovered begs countless questions,” Spicer said in an email. On Tuesday, the National Journal reported that Menendez spent up to 87...

Contrary to his website and resume, big-name institutions including Harvard, Yale and the University of Missouri have claimed they have no record of professional or educational history with Florida ophthalmologist Salomon Melgen, MD, who is under two separate federal investigations for Medicare fraud and a political scandal involving a Democratic senator, according to a report by the Washington Free Beacon. Dr. Melgen's biography (pdf LINK) on his website claims he graduated from Harvard, was the chief resident of ophthalmology at the University of Missouri, and held a Yale internship, but all three denied any record to support his credentials, according...

As is the case every Thursday, the BLS reported its weekly initial claims which unlike two weeks ago did not estimate the initial unemployment claims for America's most populous state when the number plunged, and has now missed expectations for two weeks in a row, printing at 366K, on expectations of a 360K number, while last week's 368K was as usual revised upward to 371K. As a result, the Mainspin Media already has its headline: Initial Claims decline by 5,000. Such is life under the US Department of Truth, even as unadjusted initial claims spiked by 16.7K to 386K in...

Put on your shocked faces: Since my bipartisan call last week for Democratic women to join the Ladies Against Senator Sleaze-Bob movement, not a single Democratic woman in Washington has signed up. Here's the thing. The brewing scandal involving N.J. Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez, the new chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is not just a "sex scandal." It's a crony corruption scandal of sordid, soap operatic proportions. Maybe if Menendez were a contestant on "The Bachelor," he'd finally command more widespread female attention. For their part, the Democratic women on Capitol Hill seem as uninterested in the alleged...

Will this finally be enough to break the Obama administration's hold over Senate Democrats when it comes to the Hagel nomination? Chuck Hagel has refused to disclose to the Senate Armed Services Committee the sources of his foreign funding over the last five years. Is Chuck roast? (Hat Tip: Noah P). Republican members of the committee asked Hagel last week for information on whether any of the organizations received funding from any foreign government, individual, or corporation — a request he declined late Tuesday in a letter citing confidentiality agreements. "[T]he information you seek is legally controlled by the individual...

During a panel discussion on Tuesday's NBC Today about the White House releasing a photo of President Obama skeet shooting to dispel doubt about his claim of doing it "all the time," co-host Matt Lauer worried about the precedent that had been set: "So like releasing the birth certificate a year or so ago, this is the next step, that now the President always has to back up his words with proof?"

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Violent, thieving mobs have been making headlines across the country for the past few years, and now they have hit New York City. And Maurice Dubois reported in this CBS 2 investigation, the teen mobs have left neighborhoods worried as businesses take matters into their own hands. Judson Bennett, 78, recently ran into a violent group of teens – often described with the once-benign term “flash mob” – as he made his daily trip to buy a newspaper at his favorite news team. “I’m approaching the newsstand, and then suddenly there is a tremendous force...

In case you missed it, embattled, pervy Senator Bob Menendez (Letch- NJ) is still denying it all as 'anonymous' smears-from-nowhere, but evidence of Roberto's little sex-addiction problem is piling up high, and quick: besides all the poor Dominican teen chicks he used as a sex toilet (then stiffed on the bill), yesterday pics started to slip out of a Russian 'mystery woman' who has been deeply involved with Menendez and his happy-huntin' buddy, major Democratic donor (and party-jet owner) Salomon Melgen: Svitlana Buchyk, aka 'Svetlana' and 'Sveta', a very attractive blonde who says she 'works as a model' in NY...

We can all rest a little easier this week: the country is in good hands. John Kerry has slipped into the Secretary of State slot without the U.S. missing a beat. Joey’s in Europe, further cementing relationships, and Big Guy’s got all the pressing domestic issues covered. On the Deficit/Debt Ceiling/Budget: (“I’ve done my part, I've made proposals, it's their turn, we agree on a lot - and the American public agrees with me - more to be done, won't be easy.”) To help things along even more, yesterday BO signed legislation suspending the nation's borrowing limit until May 18,...

At the start of the new year, things looked bright for U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez, Hudson County's federal legislator by way of Union City, Hoboken and North Bergen. He won re-election in November and he is in line to take over as chairman of the ultra-powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Now the committee is a punchline. Menendez has suddenly become the media's Lindsey Lohan of the Capital Beltway. I've known the senator since he was a teen aide for his mentor, the late state powertician Bill Musto, who was mayor of Union City and a highly influential New Jersey state...

The Daily Caller has been doing the job the Obama State Media just won't do- journalism- and they are on fire in the Menendez investigation. Emails show FBI investigating Sen. Bob Menendez for sleeping with underage Dominican prostitutes Documents published online for the first time Thursday indicate that the FBI opened an inquiry into New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez on August 1, 2012, focusing on repeated trips he took to the Dominican Republic with longtime campaign contributor and Miami eye doctor Salomon Melgen. TheDC reported in November that Menendez purchased the service of prostitutes in that Caribbean nation at...

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) fended off questions about Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) at a press conference about immigration reform. The first question out of the gate was from CNN correspondent Jim Acosta, who asked Reid when he learned that Menendez had reimbursed a political donor nearly $60,000 for two trips he took on the donor’s private plane. Reid defended the Menendez as a “friend” and “outstanding senator” but declined to discuss any details he may have had with the New Jersey lawmaker about media reports of allegations that he had sex with prostitutes in the Dominican Republic. “First...

A cloud of scandalous allegations is rapidly growing over Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), putting Democratic leaders in a difficult position as the integrity of their immigration point man in the Senate falls under question at a critical time. The bad news keeps coming: a Senate Ethics probe, allegations involving underage prostitutes, an FBI investigation of a key campaign donor, undisclosed flights on the donor’s private plane, and now, reports linking Menendez to a multi-million dollar contract he helped obtain for the disgraced donor. Menendez denies nearly all of it. But it couldn’t come at a worse time for the new...

President Obama blamed the recent contraction of the U.S. economy on “bad decisions in Washington” in his weekly address. The national economy shrank by 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012, according to figures released this week by the Commerce Department. The contraction was an unexpected reversal of months of modest economic growth since the end of the recession in mid-2009. Obama said in his address that the dip was the fault of “bad decisions” being made in Washington. “We began this year with economists and business leaders saying that we are poised to grow in 2013,” he said....

In an effort to downplay Romney's support at a rally in Dayton, Ohio, MSNBC used an edited video to make it appear as though the crowd was screaming "Ryan, Ryan," Joel B. Pollack reported at Breitbart.com on Friday. But a closer look at the actual unedited footage from CSPAN tells a much different story. MSNBC first aired the video on Wednesday, "prompting an embarrassed Joe Scarborough to mutter 'Oh, sweet Jesus' and a purse-lipped Mika Brzezinski to ask 'What’s wrong with those people,'” The Blaze reported on Thursday. Video: MSNBC caught doctoring clip from Romney/Ryan rally Beckett Adams wrote that...

The city may be nearly 2,000 miles from Mexico, but the country’s drug cartels are so deeply embedded in Chicago that local and federal law enforcement are forced to operate as if they are “on the border,” according to Jack Riley, special agent in charge for the Chicago Field Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Because of Chicago’s location in the heart of the United States, its large Mexican population and its abundance of street gang activity, drug cartels have designated the city as one of its main hubs of operation in America, Riley told TheBlaze in an exclusive...

Check this out. During the lead up to the terror attacks on our embassies, the Obama regime sponsored a trip to Egypt. Am I mistaken? Shouldn't an employee of any company be free to vote for the person, persons, or party of their choice, with no fear of reprisal from their employer? Does that not also apply to the federal government? In a story that I am surprised has not received more air time, it is coming to light that there may have been warnings from some Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officials to their employees about what may happen, should they choose to vote for the GOP. (Fox News) Two federal agency supervisors allegedly warned employees earlier this year that a Republican...

Internal emails between senior officials at The Gallup Organization, obtained by The Daily Caller, show senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod attempting to subtly intimidate the respected polling firm when its numbers were unfavorable to the president. After Gallup declined to change its polling methodology, Obama’s Department of Justice hit it with an unrelated lawsuit that appears damning on its face. TheDC is withholding the identities of the Gallup officials to protect them from potential retaliation from Obama’s campaign and his administration. In April, Axelrod tweeted that a poll showing Mitt Romney with a 48-43 percent lead over Obama was...

The Justice Department has withheld from Congress memos showing that senior officials inside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives began preparing as early as February 2011 to treat the agents who unmasked the bungled Fast and Furious gun operation as whistleblowers. The memos, obtained by the Washington Guardian, were triggered by the agents' allegations, Justice officials confirmed. In them, ATF officials in Washington instructed field supervisors not to retaliate against the agents in Arizona who complained they had been ordered to let semiautomatic weapons flow to suspected straw buyers for Mexican drug cartels rather than interdicting them. Even...

Air Force One turned to Air Force Waaaaahhhh yesterday in Atlanta. Barack Obama tied up lunch time traffic in the Peach State once again while he milked it for money. During a public speech, President Obama formally abdicated his role as Commander in Chief to become Chief Victim. Those dirty Republicans are outspending him, he cried to a sympathetic audience. In fact, this may be the first time Barack Obama has ever been outspent and he just can’t handle rejection. In 2008, the Annenberg Public Policy Center reported that Barack Obama outspent John McCain 3 to 1 and “raised more...

Watching Pavlich interview with Major Garrett on CSPAN2, watch it now or catch the replay. She just said that there were three weapons recovered at the scene, not two, and she strongly suspects that the murder of Brian Terry was a paid government confidential informant. Now, I think we know why Obama-Holder wants to keep this evidence out of the public domain. Also, she points out for the slow that it's implied that the justice dept knew many Mexicans would be killed by putting these powerful weapons in the hands of cartel killers, but were considered essentially (my words) acceptable...

The normally-reserved Yves Smith asks whether Obama should be impeached over it. Democratic Senator Wyden – the head of the committee which is supposed to oversee it – is so furious about the lack of access that he has introduced legislation to force disclosure. Republican House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa is so upset by it that he has leaked a document on his website to show what’s going on. What is everyone so furious about? An international treaty being negotiated in secret which would not only crack down on Internet privacy much more than SOPA or ACTA, but would...

Glory be to the commander in chief. Everyone in the Washington-New York Axis of Evil knows that's why there has been a string of White House national security leaks. Each of the leaks has been a transparent attempt to pump up President Obama as a tough warrior who deserves re-election because he's been intimately involved in the killing of Osama bin Laden, the cyber-sabotage of Iran's nuclear program, and choosing which specific terrorist gets blasted to heaven by a U.S. drone. Everyone also knows the leaks have damaged our ability to operate our future military and counter-terror operations, and they...

If you are still listening to those in the political class who are falling over each other to condemn leaks from the government to the media, you'd think the leaks had revealed private information in which the public has no legitimate interest, or perhaps a planned secret government mission to rescue innocents. Neither is the case. Republicans and Democrats in Congress, most of them from the House and Senate intelligence committees, have blasted the White House for leaking to The New York Times and others the existence of President Obama's secret kill list and his cyber-warfare against Iran. According to...

Within days of SEAL Team Six's killing of Osama on that midnight mission in Pakistan, Defense Secretary Bob Gates, reading all about the raid in the press, went to the White House to tell President Obama's national security adviser pungently to "shut the (bleep) up." Leaked secrets of that raid may have led to the imprisonment for 33 years of a Pakistani doctor who helped us locate bin Laden. Yet, according to Judicial Watch, the White House has been providing Hollywood with details of the raid for a movie that will, we may be sure, heroize our commander in chief....

By opening an investigation into the leaks of classified information, the Obama White House appears to be entering the kind of perilous Fill-In-The-Blank-Gate terrain that has eventually engulfed most administrations in the modern era. The pattern: an initial investigation launched to relieve mounting political pressure snowballs into a much larger scandal, leaving a trail of broken careers in its wake. And the beginnings of that pattern are in place: Attorney General Eric Holder Friday appointed two federal prosecutors to oversee multiple FBI investigations into leaks involving stories in recently published books and articles in the New York Times, AP, and...

Members of the House Judiciary Committee on oversight on Thursday called on U.S. Attorney General to provide documents and evidence relating to the landmark Holy Land Foundation trial – the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history. The committee made a nearly identical request more than a year ago, however, the documents were never made available by Holder or his department, lawmakers say. Following court proceedings, the Holy Land Foundation was found guilty of providing millions of dollars in funding to Hamas and other Islamic terrorist organizations in 2008. Named as “unindicted co-conspirators” in the trial were the Council on...
