The numbers are clear, those 44 and under voted for Obama. Those 45 and over would have elected McCain. There’s no debating that.

There's also no debating that (by the graph you posted) that there are more voters 45 and over (53%) than there are 44 and younger (47%). When you look at overall number of voters within each age group, you can't legitimately say that Gen X/Y put Obama into office. Gen X/Y provided about 50% of Obama's vote, and the Boomers and their elders provided about 50%. That's what YOUR graph shows. Either get a new graph or a new argument if you want to prove your point.
