Did you ever notice how these so called “workers” and “working families” can just get on a bus and protest for days on end and not have to worry about their jobs or their family responsibilities.

For most people taking even one unexpected day off from work is a big deal and finding someone to look after the kids and the house and other responsibilities is big deal. Evidently these “workers” and “working families” have jobs that do not require you to show up and families that don’t need to be cared for.

I guess some of those union dues are paid back in protest funding.

And no matter how the Obamamedia plays it up as "a show of democracy," it still won't play in Peoria.

Peoria may be where the 14 fleebaggers are......

“....Madison Police Department Sergeant Dave McClurg, who was protesting while off duty, ....”

It's time for Walker to hire Blackwater (now Xe Services) to protect the Wisconsin Capitol.

As righteous as that would be, I think these union goons want a Kent State situation for their scrap book — whereby Obama can pontificate and point to their “justifiable grievances and the bitter oppression” at the hands of bad American’s like, say....Tea Partiers.....while he turns up the heat to keep the pot just below boil and waits....

We need to let them show themselves for what they are and not divert attention away from how they look to Americans watching their greed and violent nature play out in Madison.

Noticed that. By spending all this time protesting, they are effectively on strike. So, if they have all this time to not do their taxpayer jobs, then those jobs are not necessary. Like when you hear the expression “non-essential” government workers.
Seems like the only ones who have all this time to waste are taxpayer paid unions and democrat lawmakers.

I guess some of them might get annoyed if you showed up with a poster of Simpson’s Nelson going “Ha Ha!”

How do these people get off from work for all this time?

I was wondering the same thing...and also, IF the teachers (and I use that word loosely) are back in the classroom, what are they telling the kids about all of this? Those poor kids...it’s a good lesson for them to see the unions and the teachers for what they really are, but they are surrounded by a crap-storm right now.

I have grown up, since the 70’s with the threat of teacher strikes every single August-right before school-and once I figured out what side they were on, I went in the opposite direction-conservative. I knew it was only about the money-as a nine year old I would ask why they did that to us kids every year and I never got a good answer....it was- and is- NEVER about the children...so very sad.

Let 'em come.......they're showing the nation what selfish and childish morons they are.

I wonder when Obama is going to make his next comments on "civility."

Not until it suits his agenda.

Respectfully...

That is old thinking, and it is wrong. Walker calling out the national guard will have that effect. But if citizens come together of their own accord and face another group of citizens who are acting badly, even violently... Then THAT is justice, the kind that our government cannot dispatch.

The divide between us and them is real and it is too wide to bridge, the only way we are going to be free of them is to crush them or separate from them. They mean to continue using us as their resource until they bleed us dry then kill our kids in the same way. I dont know about you, but I think its time to raise the stakes of this and take it to the next level. Ultimately its going to come down to a fight between us and them if one side doesn’t submit to the other voluntarily. I have no plans to voluntarily submit, how about you? I will bet that the thugs on the other side have absolutely NO plans of voluntarily removing the claws from our flesh.

I know there are times to face the “bully” but when they’re drawing you in to make headlines and sway public opinion, you don’t give them what they want.

When your enemy is destroying itself, get out of the way. Seems to me Gov Scott Walker and the WI Legislature is handling this situation with great skill.

For now we just need to support them and get the word out about the union lies.

Are they trying to draw us in? Or are they just behaving badly?

These jokers have no official strategy to draw us in to fight it out so they can possibly get some propaganda boost that will be negligible.

This is the kind of thinking that has allowed this specific cancer to grow and then consume our society. Violence isn’t always the answer, but sometimes it is...

Agreed, lets let them hurt somebody first, perhaps kill someone or just send them to the hospital. THEN instead of sending in LEO or NG forces lets do it my way.

An interesting side note. Did you all know that the Earned Income Tax Credit is available to striking union members? Apparently, if you’re a union worker and are getting strike benefits, you are eligible to soak the taxpayers (big surprise) even more.

We’re paying for their protests...one way or another.

http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96466,00.html#QA2

Taxable earned income also includes:

Wages, salaries, and tips;
Union strike benefits;
Long-term disability benefits received prior to minimum retirement age;
Net earnings from self-employment.
