Good golly miss molly, what has horror stories author Stephen King been doing as of late, hiding under a rock?!

Thank-you readers for letting me get this “classic rant” today. In the aftermath of the recent Japan earthquake and with calls to help with relief efforts, why the verbal cannon balls at the GOP, beginning with Mr. King calling the Governor of the state of Maine, a Tea Party member, a “stonebrain”? “Democratic Civility” on display for ALL TO SEE.

I used to enjoy reading King’s thrillers, until I kept noticing his not-so-subtle swipes at republicans, conservatives, anyone not to the left of center.

I’ve moved on to Vince Flynn whenever I need a book for an airline flight. Don’t miss King at all.

Don’t let the door hit you in the keister on the way out, Stephan...

Amazing.

If that guy wants to pay 50% of his income to the government all he has to do is write a check.

“King also said that while he is wealthy and paying 28 percent tax, he said that someone in his tax bracket should be paying 50 percent.”

I don’t know anyone who is stopping King from writing a check to the government for 50 percent instead of 28 percent tax on his wealth. That is except for the tax attorneys and accountants that he hires to keep from doing just that.

When these a-holes put their money where their mouth is then they will have credibilty.

It’s better to keep your mouth shut, then to open it and prove how stupid you really are. Quit reading him decades ago....Dean Koontz is a much better writer. BTW, I love Vince Flynn, too.

The ONLY Stephen King novel I enjoyed was Firestarter;don’t waste my time on any of his or similar authors’ trash.

I like Koontz’ Christian themes lately. Interesting.

It's sad what's happened to Stephen King. I used to love his books, and I used to love listening to him talk, even when I disagreed with him, because he used to speak with intelligence and reason. He's just a far-left parody now. He no longer talks, he rants. I can't imagine what happened to him, what made him so nasty and illogical.

In my mind I'm comparing this video of King with a video I saw last night of Vince Flynn giving a talk at a book signing. What a difference. Flynn is intelligent as hell, funny, free of bitterness, wise, reasoned. I guess I know where to get my thriller novels now.

I quit King's stuff when he made prolifers out to be violent inbreds. Later, at a literacy event, he commented that if students don't learn to read, "there's always the army." I think that was before Kerry said something similar.

I’m going to have to check out Flynn - don’t think I’ve read even one of his and I read a lot. Love Koontz, so if former King readers who love Koontz also like Flynn, must be worth a look see. Any suggestions as to a good one to start with?

Time for this a-hole to take another walk along a busy highway while reading a book. Maybe a second hit will knock that other eye into place and unscramble his pea brain. The dude is one notch below monkey feces on my list.

“there’s always the army.”

As the dad of a Marine who enlisted the moment he turned 17.5 after graduating high school a semester early, I didn’t think I could think even less of Mr. King. But now I do.

Do these weenies ever stop to consider whose butts are on the line to protect their freedom to spout whatever inanities that cross their fat little minds?

No. Of course not. Freedom and liberty are automatic. It’s the natural state of things. Tyrants and oppressors are just figments of our overactive, right wing imaginations.

Yeah. Right.
