Potential Republican presidential contender Herman Cain is known for his straight-talking style and willingness to discuss issues other politicians dare not touch. In his latest interview with Christianity Today, the former Godfathers Pizza CEO opened up about his faith, his calling in life and his aspirations for political office.
In blunt terms, Cain, a Christian, made no bones about his thoughts on the role of Muslims in modern American society and

God didnt keep me here to go play golf, and relax, and take life easy, he said, referring to his against-the-odds battle back against stage-4 cancer. I believe that my life was spared because God had something really big that he wanted me to do. And thats unfolding.
Cain also admitted that the though of running for president is something hes only considered recently. It was only about nine or ten months ago that, as I watched the first year of the Obama administration, as I watched failing policies, as I watched broken promises, as I watched and read about 15 million people staying unemployed, I couldnt sit back when I had collected some common sense ideas.
I cannot sit still and watch the direction of this country towards radical socialism and not do what I can do, he said. Is there somebody else who might be better at being President of the United States than Herman Cain? There might be. But the people are going to determine that. But I couldnt sit back and hope that a great leader emerges, or hope that someone becomes President that would tackle the issues the way I would tackle them.

If ever there was an excuse for genocide, this is it.
Crusades 2011, come one, come all!
This Hermain Cain certainly has my attention. He’s definitely someone to watch IMO...mb
God didnt keep me here to go play golf, and relax..”
Was that a dig against our maximum leader? tsk tsk.
(ps. Indian gulch fire near Golden still bad. I just about got smoked out yesterday and I am no where near any evacuation zone)
Cain is willing and Able.
Mine too.
He’d be a great candidate. For a plethora of reasons
Cain is a really solid guy.
He commands alot of respect and enthusiasm when he speaks. He will help to keep the Presidential debate centered on the right stuff.
You Nailed It!
Smoke there is nasty.
Some kid, apparently, left his window open -—thus filling up the family home with smoke and terrifying his mother.
Per a TV interview.
Fortunately, the fire was not close
I don’t know that much about Hermann Cain, and I have not heard him speak. But so far (and after reading in FR his 20 or so core values) IMHO, he seems to be the fearless & genuine of all the pending Repub presidential candidates so far. I know that some FReepers are dead set against him... but IMHO he is closer to core conservative, unabashed patriotic, pro-American values & principles than any of the others. I want to check out Hermann Cain more, but so far, I like what I see.
Should have been...."he seems to be the most fearless & genuine of all the pending...
.
I walked along Clear Creek a bit in town today and there was ash from the fire coming down. The smoke bank looked really bad to the west.
Your in for a big smile when you do hear him speak. This guy is a tell it like it is no holds bar CONSERVATIVE (Plus he founded Goodfellas Pizza, so he’s run a business and has a lot to say on Obamacare).. mb
There you go. All believing Muslims want us dead...after they “invite us to Islam,” of course.
What a novel idea, right, actually sayin’ it out loud ?
The best politician is not a politician.
“Fortunately, the fire was not close”
Darn near needed headlights on hwy 93 ytesterday.
Mr. Cain is not afraid to be contrarian if he speaks the truth, yet he does not own a tinfoil hat. Like your average Tea Party / normal person.
He could even say “quite a large percent of muslims in the US are black people, often converted while in prison for serious crimes.”
Islam considers anyone who is not muslim an infidel.
