VIDEO- BIDEN FLASHBACK: Launching an Attack Without Congressional Approval is an Impeachable Offense
Eyeblast TV ( Media Research Center) ^ | 3/23/2011 | Joe S.

In 2007, then Sen. Joe Biden appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball and said launching an attack without congressional approval is an impeachable offense. This flashback comes on the heels of Obama launching an attack on Libya without congressional approval.

Biden said:

I want to stand by that comment I made. The reason I made that comment is a warning. The reason, I don’t say those things lightly, Chris, you’ve known me for a long time. I was chairman of the Judiciary committee for 17 years or its ranking member. I teach separation of powers and constitutional law. This is something I know. So I got together and brought a group of Constitutional scholars together and write a piece I’m going to deliver to the whole United States Senate in pointing out the president has no Constitutional authority to take this nation to war against a country of 70 million people unless we’re attacked, or unless there is proof that we are about to be attacked. If he does, I would move to impeach him. The House obviously has to do that– but I would lead an effort to impeach him. The reason for my doing that- I don’t say it lightly, I don’t say it lightly.

This is taken out of context.

This only applies when there is a REPUBLICAN in the office of POTUS.

You are all just racists
< /gee, it’s not really sarcasm at all, is it?>

Biden also said “this President will be tested” - he just forgot to tell us it would be an open-book test and that he’d fail repeatedly.

Shoot, we all know those kinda statements only apply to Republicans!

It really doesn’t serve any purpose to point out the cynicism of the left. It’s expected and it’s overlooked.

...biggest bloviator ever to walk the face the the earth... if this man was slapped every time he exaggerated, pontificated or bloviated, not to mention flat out lied, his head would be spinning like a top an a waxed floor.

“Hillary set Zero up.”

Clever idea, but her hands are just as dirty in this decision. So if her goal was to stimulate a challenge from the left that she would lead, I don’t think she’s done much to improve her presidential prospects.

The Mainstream media is AWOL on the War. They are ignoring Obama's and Biden's quotes on seeking congressional approval and they have forgotten the bill that made it MANDANTORY.

This is another Egregious case of BIAS! I find out about these things on Drudge and here, but CANNOT EXPECT THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA TO BE OBJECTIVE. They are Subjective - if the Subject is Democrats - lite gloves and approval. If a Democrat makes a serious error the word "Democrat" is rarely used, if Republican the word "Republican" is always used. And if a Democrat, there words are not compared to their actions as in this case. If Republican and fine toothed comb is used.

Can we all scream BIAS and Boycott the Mainstream Media?

Sure, 70 million, but Libya has less than that, so it doesn’t apply!

Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Biden: What I SAID was: ...the president has no Constitutional authority to take this nation to war against a country of 70 million people unless we’re attacked...

Libya only has a population of 6.5 million people. There's the difference, right there. Can't you see it? It's as plain as the hair plugs on my head...

I was chairman of the Judiciary committee for 17 years or its ranking member. I teach separation of powers and constitutional law.

These two statements perfectly encapsulate the sorry state of Congress and our educational system.

.... Just curious though, where and when exactly did Exaggeratin' Joe ever teach con law, or anthing else?

I fear for our soldiers and airmen. I fear this will be the Xerox copy of Carter’s military fiasco.
