I Can't Stand To Listen To Sean Hannity.
3/25/2011 | Me

Posted on 03/25/2011 2:52:34 PM PDT by Palmetto Patriot

Sean is on my side, bless his heart. But I just can't stand listening to him. Judging from his ratings, there are lots of people in this country who would disagree with me, and that's okay.

But in my mind, he's very shallow in his analysis of the day's events.

I need more than what he provides.

I'm a fan of Glenn Beck.

I know that there are lots of my fellow Freepers who dislike Glenn, and the programming that he presents, for whatever reason.

That's okay, too.

My purpose in making this post is to ask you for alternatives.

If you don't listen to Hannity, is there someone else you prefer?

If you can't stand Beck, who do you listen to?

What other hosts do you think might be worthy of our attention?

“People don't need to hear “You're a great American” or “Ruth Chris Steakhouse” a million times.”

You can only hawk so many things. Hannity endorses so many products that he has absolutely no credibility.

If you have Sirius/XM, try Andrew Wilkow at noon Eastern. He is the best I have heard. Extremely well versed on the Constitution, the Federalist Papers, Rules for Radicals, The Communist Manifesto, Mao's "Little Red Book", etc.

The guy is REALLY good, and I get a kick out of his Yankee accent. LOL.

Hmmmmm....so I said that Hannity “repeats the same thing over and over”....looks as if his redundancy has rubbed off on me! Laughing at myself!

So then why did they make conclusions that the birthers were nuts if they’re not interested in finding out the facts first?

I’ve emailed Beck several times, you have a more personal email I can use?

I can no longer listen to this guy totally waste valuable guests time while he lectures them endlessly with his opinion while leaving them no time to express theirs.

It's a major irritation, for sure. I've often wondered why someone in his organization doesn't grab him by the collar and make him listen to what he's doing to his guests. It's a real turn-off to the listeners, and I'm sure it irritates his guests even more.

The only people Sean will really give some breathing room to, are old guard warriors of days gone by, like Dick Cheney, or GWB. Rising stars in the Republican party are treated pretty much the same as any caller.

The man is utterly incapable of framing a succinct, to the point question.

I agree. He always starts off asking one question, then abruptly turns on a dime, and begins framing another question. Before he stops talking, he's normally shoved four or five questions together, plus his own analysis and answers. It doesn't leave the guest much to talk about.

I'm glad the man is on our side, but damn, he's hard to listen to.

I agree. Steve Malzberg is very good. Did you know that he started on NY radio at about the age of 16 (a sports guy) and has been on the air since. Marc Levin is also very good

I refuse to listen to Beck. He grates on me.

Maybe what Beck delivers scares you. Come on, buck up and listen. It might be your last chance.

No. Guess he’s not interested, and neither am I. Good luck.

Beck doesn't scare me.

Beck annoys me.

His phony crying on TV.

His multiple books that he ‘authored.’

Obama doesn't write and neither does Beck.

That should scare YOU!

I hope I have enlightened you a bit...

Correct, he needs to interview better conservative strategists....even Greta has Rush on from time to time...

Drop Rove, add Mark Levin or Rush

I’d suggest Chris Plante (9am on WMAL or online) or Tammy Bruce who’s on from 2-4 Eastern time (www.talkstreamlive.com) Online only.

I don’t like Glenn Back’s show, but he is right on the money.

His presentation sucks IMO, but there is no denying he is usually right.

Sean talks about himself to much for me.” ====

You said it. Sean is also repititous, exhausting, a whiner, and nagger and reports what the other guy says. He takes the work of others and then launches the same talking points he was making ten years ago.

Beck. Now Beck is an investigative reporter of the highest order, and is bringing chickens home to roost. His findings are exhaustive and exhausting and above our heads in many instances. Very hard to take, but a must listen once a week at least. Truth is going to be very hard to find one of these days soon, so it is important thread the needle while we can.

Steve’s a good man. His wife, Marie, was a member of Rush’s staff, if I remember correctly.

I quit listening to Hannity years ago. I got tired of him also. I do tune into him occasionally, but I listen first and if he is on one of his usual repetitious diatribes, I just go elsewhere. He does have something worth saying once in a while. But not all the frequent.
