Herman Cain: ‘It’s okay to call me black … Obama is not the president of black people’ [VIDEO
Daily Caller ^ | 4 Apr 2011 | Laura Donovan

Posted on 04/04/2011 6:20:10 PM PDT by mandaladon

Potential Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain doesn’t want whites to beat around the bush when addressing his race, according to a video interview he did with Accuracy in Media reporter Benjamin Johnson.

“African-American Republican presidential nominees … never did they get such media fanfare,” Johnson said to Cain. “Can you comment on this? Is this telling about the media or is this telling about the party system?”

“I think it’s more about the individual,” Cain said. “By the way, it’s okay to call me black, see, I am, I am an American Black Conservative, an ABC, it’s okay, it’s okay, I’m not hyphenated!”

After a moment of laughter, Cain said, “This is what America is all about! Why can’t we just get along?”

“Since he [President Barack Obama] has not served the people of this country very well, he has not served the African-American community very well, and secondly he wasn’t supposed to be the president of black people, he was supposed to be the president of the entire country, so I don’t look so much at how he has served the black community of this country, I am evaluating the lack of effectiveness of his policies across the board,” Cain said. “It’s not about what color he is, it’s about the lack of leadership.”

Okay...can someone tell me a bit about his earthly father, did he have a dad....I’m tired of Presidents who grew up without a role model of a MAN in the house.

Okay...can someone tell me a bit about his earthly father, did he have a dad....I’m tired of Presidents who grew up without a role model of a MAN in the house.

I found this a his website:

"I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia by loving and hardworking parents. We grew up poor, but we grew up happy. Things weren’t always easy, but my mom and dad knew that if they kept their faith in God, faith in themselves and their faith in the greatest country in the world, they, too, could achieve their American Dream.

"That dream, we discovered, was for my parents to own their own home and watch their two sons graduate from college. Those dreams required that my father work three jobs to support our family."

What a contrast to the Kenyan commie and the hippie-girl commie that spawned our current disaster-in-chief.

I don't know much about this gentleman; it appears that he has more wisdom than Zero the Muslim Hero.

I would not have any problem with a black man as President. I would look at his ideas, and cast my vote on that basis.

With Zero, we have the most terrible president that ever lived. Who happens to be a black man.

The liberals in this country were so willing to show how non-racist they are not (but they really are) foisted upon us a disaster.

They themselves have always propagated racial hostility in their lust for power. These liberal hypocrites wall themselves in gated communities, hoping one of them, you know, people don't move in next door.

I'm not hyphenated. I like him already. I will have to do some research myself. I'm sure the the media can't stand this "non-hyphenated" man.

I for one am falling in love with this man!!! I just wish that he had some kinda Executive experience, ie Governor. However, he sounds like a “real” smart man , not just a “real” good teleprompter reader. He would probably surround himself with the right people. I would like to hear more about his views on conservatism, the constitution and the role of government and how he would change things and run things. More than just the tough talk about the Bamster. Is he more like Mark Levin or like Hugh Hewitt. While I love Hugh, Mark is my man!!
