But Ludwig didn’t die then, he apparently lived for 5 yrs after the SS# was issued, so this whole thing doesn’t make any sense.

Don’t forget about the reports that Stanley Dunham worked for Tim Geithner’s dad at the Ford Foundation in Indonesia. I’m surprised that more people haven’t looked into that interesting connection.

I think CA is one of the few where non-relatives can get a death cert. I haven't yet sprung the $12 for my great aunt's death cert in Pasadena.

There is a rootsweb list where volunteers will do lookups (live nearby and go into the court house) CA-DEATH-INDEX list. He's not in the archives as having a lookup requested. What would it tell us that would be relevant? Somebody looked one up for me in Santa Clara County, and it gave name, place, DOB, death date, cause, mother's maiden name, father's name, birthplace, disposition of body, can't remember if there is anything else. Nobody has requested a search on the death index list on that name.

You can write most libraries, and for a small fee, get a copy of an obit, but I doubt there is one because there are lots of different papers to search plus it doesn't sound like he left any survivors.

His probate records might be there somewhere, too, even if he died intestate.

If this can be verified ... just "wow". We knew he wasn't eligible even before the election. But, just how deep does the fraud and deception go!?!

I think it is common business to steal SSN’s before their death in anticipation of such. Demand is greater than supply.

As an IRS tax examiner, one of many former federal jobs, I have seen what it appears Barry Soetoro has done, mostly by illegal aliens...

That story originated from an anonymous email distributed far and wide to conservative bloggers on April Fools day of this year. 60-80% of it is probably true, but the remainder seems to be ridiculous made-up stuff by an obama lover so that birthers can easily be ridiculed for repeating any of this tale

Why is it that I find this out here (which of course is THE place to go for REAL news) and there are nothing but crickets on the networks and on cable news?

Are people who want to find out the truth being labeled as fringe nut-jobs and being dismissed out of hand? Is this not an important find?

Problem with the posted article is that the SSN does not quite match the profile of the individual, Jean Paul Ludwig, to whom it was supposedly issued.

If Mr. Ludwig arrived in the US in 1924, then stayed here pretty much the rest of his life, why would he wait until about 1976 to obtain a Social Security number at approximately age 86?

Yes, certain workers weren't participants in Social Security during Mr. Ludwig's presumed working years, and perhaps he didn't need an SSN when the first numbers were issued in the late 1930s and never received Social Security benefits. But what would have occurred in 1976 which occasioned the elderly man to apply for an SSN? Were certain retirees who weren't previously in the Social Security system entitled to benefits beginning around 1976?

The 4425 number is the one that he used on his Selective Service Record. The other one I believe was in use by him at one point in time. I’ve heard there are approx. 16 SS numbers that apply to BO. 2 of which originate in CT. 1 of which he is supposedly using to this day and used on his Selective service application which is the 4425 number.

Presuming the information this thread is accurate, the value of obtaining an inexpensive “informational copy” of Ludwig’s death certificate could include verifying the claimed social security number (or the last 4 digits) and identifying his location at the time of his death (which could lead to persons who knew him, such as friends, relatives, business partners, or medical professionals).

An obituary of Ludwig could reveal additional information on his background and family, and could lead to additional information such as the location of real estate he owned and where a probate case may have been filed.

Is it possible that they were cashing (and spending) his SS checks while he was in some form of dementia/being taken care of by the gov.
