For what it's worth, "URUKNET" was Saddam Hussein's pro-regime propaganda website [Iraq did not have a domain for fear its people would use the net against the regime so it used a site based here which as I recall had something to do with the Richardson TX terror websites shut down around 9/11 ] ; URUKNET hosted Saddam's not-very secular speeches and rants back before the war. Last time I checked it was still, even after he met his demise, under the control of people not very different in outlook. It was the website which hosted a Cockburn claim in 2007 that General Petraeus told an Iraqi official [who lived/lives in London] that he wanted to run for president of the US. The article appeared at a time the left and the terrorists desperately wanted to undermine Petreaus.

Uruknet at that time and perhaps yet hosts such authors as the far left Patrick Coburn, the little brother of Alexander Cockburn {see The Nation, Counterpunch [aka VIPS] }, who has been working with former senator James Abourezk {see the ADC aka AADC } to, IMHO, promote Iranian interests.
