Forget the polls. If Mike Huckabee truly wants to become president, his method of going about it seems designed for failure. The former Arkansas Governor could have run away with the Iowa Caucus victory if he began organizing two months ago. However, Huckabee has decided not to enter the field until mid-to-late summer, if he runs. Instead of building upon his Iowa win, Huckabee would be trying to rebuild an organization without most of its crucial members.
Some of his diehard supporters are still Stuck on Huck, but without the candidate, there is no adhesive strong enough to keep Huckabees 2008 campaign structure in place. His entire Iowa staff is committed elsewhere. Several of his key backers have also signed up with other candidates. While there is no shortage of political operatives in Iowa, there is not a limitless supply of people capable of delivering a victory.

Maybe Huckabee’s not planning on running? There may also be some rules for Fox News employees on how far they can go while still taking a paycheck.
All Huck the Schmuck needs to do is trot out his “Baptist minister” credentials once again. The sheeple in Iowa will support the big government fake conservative because he only wants to raise taxes to do God’s work (as such is defined by the Huckster).
Huck is the equivalent of Jesse Jackson without the race-baiting. Godpportunistic, i.e. misusing religion to acquire power.
The audio of the “Huckster” begging for a tax increase from the legislature of Arkansas that GB dug up should prove once and for all that he is a big govt Rino. He deserves no support from conservatives. The only thing I ever saw him take a stand on that I believe in is the FAIR tax.
Are there any conservatives in the GOP in the eastern 2/3 of Iowa?
That is precisely why Huck is right around the bottom of my list. I won’t support this phony under any circumstances.
I think "The Huck" had his last run in 2008, and from now on will be "assisting other candidates", and maybe preparing for a downstream appointment as a federal executive ~ at a higher salary than he has as his High 3 from his years in Congress.
Huck got Arkansas some roads so you people could finally escape from mind destroying poverty and isolation.
I got a Huck slogan: first word begins with ‘F’.
I just don't think huck has the fire in his belly.
Right here buddy.
Huck Mikelbee. He ain’t got no game. He needs to stick with his current gig, being the white Oprah.
So, we bring that to a big screeching halt and convert "The Huck" from a "Mit stalking horse" into an anti-Mitbot spoiler candidate.
I think I can get down on that ~ oh, yeah!
How about this ~ way back when the Democrats were running a dozen candidates they drew some serious audiences for their various "debates" leading up to the convention. With that they drew serious cash contributions from small donors who might well have just stayed out.
The Republicans have done the same thing later.
It's good to have everybody run ~ fill that stage ~ collect that money ~ and that may be all that "The Huck's" about!
Read my lips, “No More Dopes from Hope.”
Huckabee’s top supporters here in Iowa have pretty much sold us down the river in recent months, on life issues, guns, marriage, and an out-of-control judiciary.
No leadership there to be found. They’re too busy trying to figure out which way the wind is blowing so they can follow it and raise more money. Bleh.
