This kind of crap was going on long before Obama and it will continue long after if we don’t deal with it.

“A Prime Example of Why the President Must Be a Natural Born citizen”

Huh? Are you suggesting kids refuse to say the pledge because Obama’s father was a legal alien?

If anything, I would say Obama is a result of this kind of crap.

I take your question as sincere.

This video illustrates that the children of foreign nationals do not feel any loyalty to the country they were born in. Jus soil is not enough.

There are plenty of multi-generation Americans who object to the Pledge. This notion that birth to Americans = loyalty to America is ludicrous.

That’s a separate issue as to whether Obama is NBC, but it’s still a really silly idea.

“This video illustrates that the children of foreign nationals do not feel any loyalty to the country they were born in. Jus soil is not enough.”

Exactly correct. This is a perfect example of why the president must be of a pure citezenship. Both parents must be citizens or that person should never be allowed in the oval office.

This is also the reason why illegal immagration from Mexico must be stopped and the ones that are here must be forced back across the border. In short, these illegals are NOT Americans and most NEVER will be.

Obamas NBC status MUST be taken to the Supreme Court. IMO, he should be forced to step down and Biden would take over but it will take SCOTUS to clarify and force the issue. If we let this go we are done as a nation. He openly defied the American people by not disclosing who he is and the media covered for him. Imagine what the next level will be as we quickly slide down this slope into third world status.

Let me re-phrase:

A Prime Example Why Presidents Must be Natural Born Citizens.

Multi-generation Americans who refuse to say the Pledge are very few. Naturalized citizens are normally very grateful to this country. If Presidents were Natural Born citizens, it would hopefully reduce the chance that a President may feel loyalty to two countries or to a different country than this one.

Multi-generation Americans who refuse to say the Pledge are very few.

A lovely sentiment but not backed up with the facts.

Our dear First Lady has been in the country for many generations, probably longer than most white Americans. During the campaign she mentioned being proud of her country for the first time in her life.

My ex-boss went to Europe for two months and traveled with Canadian flags on his luggage because he was ashamed to be American. Then there's always the Dixie Chicks.

Do you really think I would have any trouble finding untold examples of multi-generation Americans who despise their country and its inhabitants?

You made your point. But I doubt you have statistics either.

How’s this fact, everytime I am in a crowd and the Pledge is made, I have never seen anyone not put their hand on their heart. Also when I was in school I never seen any kids who refused to say the Pledge. That’s alot of people.

Now then, the video does illustrate that a disproportionatly large number of people who have no history in this country do not feel any allegiance to it. That is the issue.

I appreciate you trying to point out that not ALL people want to say the Pledge, however would you feel comfortable with a President who has no loyalty to this counrty or loyalty to two countries? Or put another way, do you think it would be wise or right to have a President with no loyalty to this counrty or loyalty to two countries?

I stand by my opinion, having a Natural Born citizen as a President hopefully would reduce the chance of having a President with no loyalty to this country or loyalty to two countries.

The vast majority of multi-generation Americans are proud, not ashamed, love this country and its inhabitants and are not teenage country singers.

I think the Constitution is the relevant concern.
