Who knows what to think at this juncture? All I know is that he obfuscated for several years and then suddenly came up with a copy that purports to show what he could have made known without harm at any time during those years. I guess the only thing anyone can say for certain is that it’s damned suspicious.

He’s saying it fake because of the “multiple layers”. But I recall reading a FR post recently stating that when a .pdf document is scanned, multiple layers are the norm.
I know virtually nothing about how this works so I’ll let anyone who has the technical expertise for this subject post a comment.
When Obama released his long form birth certificate he said many will not be satisfied etc. He was IMHO overselling much like Gary Hart did with his infidelity. He is trying desperately to make it a racial issue and paint any one who even dare to examine the record is a kook and a racist. It does not pass the smell test, there is something foul in the air. I am no expert, but it is still fishy especially when there is a former Hawaiian elections clerk who says there was no such document on record.

So why doesn't Obama and Hawaii officials allow reporters from world-wide news media like FoxNews, CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS to go to Hawaii so that they can touch, examine, and take photographs of the original that is supposedly in a bound book, because Obama has already released a copy of the original, so says Obama.

The hospital had a different name in 1961, it was not named Kapiolani Maternity and Gynocological Hospital, it was called Kaokiolani Children's Hospital. It did not get the Kapiolani name until the mid-1970s when they merged.
That's something that can be checked. But there are probably a few renowned document experts around who review documents and testify in court cases. Unless some really highly regarded experts review the document and deem it a forgery, I doubt the assertion will go anywhere.
