So let me get this straight. Palin is having some kind of tribute to the military and people get to donate money to her political action committee.

Oh, I see, it’s at Colorado Christian University.

According to their site:

All proceeds will be donated to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a charity benefiting families of the fallen.

Which is nice that Sarah is doing a speech there, in support of the troops.

But I would not mention donating to her PAC, since that would be using the binladen shoot as a political fundraising event.

If Sarah gets donations, fine, but IMHO, it’s in rather bad form to use a military battle to raise political funds.

Tonight’s event will also feature retired Lt. Gen. William Boykin as well as cameos with members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, said John Andrews, who directs the university’s think tank, Centennial Institute.

Gov. Palin’s son, Track, served in Iraq with the US Army in 2008-2009. “Knowing how strongly Gov. Palin supports our armed forces, we are pleased to extend CCU’s hospitality to her,” said Andrews.
