50 Things Every American Should Know About The Collapse Of The Economy
Intermex Free Market Blogspot ^ | 5/17/11 | Ricardo Valenzuela

Right now, we are witnessing a truly historic collapse of the economy, and yet most Americans do not understand what is going on. One of the biggest reasons why the American people do not understand what is happening to the economy is because our politicians and the mainstream media are not telling the truth. Barack Obama and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke keep repeating the phrase "economic recovery" over and over, and this is really confusing for most Americans because things sure don't seem to be getting much better where they live. There are millions upon millions of Americans that are sitting at home on their couches right now wondering why they lost their jobs and why nobody will hire them. Millions of others are wondering why the only jobs they can get are jobs that a high school student could do. Families all across America are wondering why it seems like their wages never go up but the price of food and the price of gas continue to skyrocket. We are facing some very serious long-term economic problems in this country, and we need to educate the American people about why the collapse of the economy is happening.

“Feds own about 30% of all US land....they will probably start selling that out from under us...”

That may not be such a bad thing: liberating federally-owned land and restoring it to the private sector opens up the possibility of its being put to productive use in ways that are precluded so long as Uncle Sam’s name is on the deed. Deciding whether to drill in Alaska or open up vast natural gas reserves should be ECONOMIC decisions, not political decisions. But they won’t be so long as Uncle Sam is the title-holder etc.

“Can I pay my Visa card with my Mastercard?”

If you’re Uncle Sam, the answer is “of course.” Sadly, the answer to the next logical question: “do I have to pay my Mastercard bill?” is “of course not.” Uncle Sam can get away with behavior that would land all the rest of us in jail.

Speaking of Social Security returns - did you know that Galveston Texas was able to opt out of the Social Security system 30 odd years ago? They did it by establishing their own system and used the “Social Security Contributions” as their baseline. Today that fund pays its participants right around 7% of their total contributions annually. Social Security pays between 1% and 2% of our total contributions annually.

Thank you LBJ and the rest of the Kennedy brain trust. Isn't nice to remember what our “best and brightest” did to us?

Yes..We have reached a point where the truly wise see what is coming and they know, without drastic changes in leadership, we are sunk..Our children will have no future. The truth is that the children of the Progressives will have no future either for when the US finally goes down, the whole world will go with it..

#1: Tariffs.

#2: Tariffs.

#3: Tariffs.

Buy American. Bring back American factories. Bring back American jobs.

Or we’ll cease to exist.

“We obviously need more smoke and bigger mirrors.”

Thanks I needed a good laugh! The sad truth is that, that is all we will get out of government from the local, state and national level.
