Democrat’s theme for the 2012 Election: Barack Obama vs. A Racist

In an interview on Meet the Depressed, David Gregory accused Newt Gingrich of using coded racist language in criticizing Barack Obama:

DAVID GREGORY, HOST: What, what about jobs? Jobless rate now at 9 percent. You gave a speech on Friday in Georgia, and you said the following about this president:

(Videotape)

NEWT GINGRICH: You want to be a country that creates food stamps, in which case frankly Obama's is an enormous success. The most successful food stamp president in American history. Or do you want to be a country that creates paychecks?

(End videotape)

GREGORY: First of all, you gave a speech in Georgia with language a lot of people think could be coded racially-tinged language, calling the president, the first black president, a food stamp president.

GINGRICH: Oh, come on, David.

GREGORY: What did you mean? What was the point?

REP. GINGRICH: That's, that's bizarre. That--this kind of automatic reference to racism, this is the president of the United States. The president of the United States has to be held accountable. Now, the idea that--and what I said is factually true. Forty-seven million Americans are on food stamps. One out of every six Americans is on food stamps. And to hide behind the charge of racism? I have--I have never said anything about President Obama which is racist.

Here is the racist chart showing a dramatic increase in food stamp participation in the US:

As Gingrich said, Obama is the most successful food stamp President in history. In fact, Obama has taken record welfare spending and increased it by one third. In blind and probably willing ignorance, Gregory has become one more official Obama water carrier in what has clearly become the democrats' overarching theme for the 2012 Presidential election:

Barack Obama vs. A Racist

If I have my way it'll be more like this:

Race baiting traitor

Vs.

A REAL American who happens to be blacker than the fake American who claims to be black

Our guys better grow a spine real quick (our gals already have one) and charge back hard, early and often against these charges as the MSM will try and make these charges stick like Crazy Glue.

...and he implied that Gingrich noted he was black, which he didn’t. These people are absolutely despicable.

...and Cain has an authentic, Southern-black accent. Not that put on jive talkin’ that Obama likes to do to impress the brothers.

Amazing chart. I’m in one of the highest-income counties in the state of Wisconsin and can tell you that I’ve been commenting for months that food stamps are coming out of the woodwork.

In the last month I’ve seen several apparently well-off or solidly middle class people, dressed well and not overly “working poor” pulling out envelopes with assorted food vouchers in addition to debit cards.

My suspicion is that there is a loophole in the systems that allows people to qualify that shouldn’t. Like the unmarried parents scenario: mother claims benefits as a single-parent while the “husband” works full time and the couple is married in all other aspects of the relationship.

How come Gregory had to note that Obama is Black?

Because Gregory is the racist. Liberals, who automatically assume that a discussion about food stamps is really about black people, must believe that only black people use food stamps. And of course, we have to increase food stamps and similar entitlements because black people are incapable of providing for themselves.

Liberalism the most insidious, paternalistic, dehumanizing form of racism there is.

This might sound bad, but I think it makes Cain more “authentic” to black voters who might be disaffected Obama supporters, while not turning off white voters.

The reason I bring that up is, back in ‘07, Obama was criticized for not being “authentic” black (rememer “Barack the Magic Negro?”)

Let them TRY that accusation against Cain!

I don’t like racial politics, but I’m not too naive to think that it won’t be racialized REGARDLESS of who the GOP nominee is. Therefore, someone who is first and foremost an American, yet, is able to acknowledge his blackness when it’s needed might be the perfect combination.

I believe that Cain would prefer a campaign without race being a factor at all, but he knows it will be, and can handle himself well, and would come out on top when Obama and the Left tries the race card (or the TOM card) against him.

Wait! Barak’s black?

Well I did a search of the internet and sure enough he appears to be black/African American.

Heck, I never think about the dudes race until someone brings it up.

Who knew he was black?

Guess I’ll have to be more careful.

In TX, people’s claims for food stamps are investigated.

If you say you’re single, you still have to be not living with another person in the household other than your children, for only your income to count and not another’s income. If another person besides a minor child lives with you, no matter the relationship, their income and their contribution to your support is calculated with yours.

You can say your significant other doesn’t live there, but obviously they would be coming there and leaving there if you’re running a scam, and the neighbors would know.

The key question is, who is contributing to your support and how much? Your answers are not accepted at face value. And you are either denied and/or charged with fraud if you don’t check out.

To derail in the future need to point out that there are more white people on food stamps than any other race. How is that racist?

I'm a little hazy this morning. Can you clarify that?

:: calling the president, the first black president, a food stamp president. ::

Hey Pubbie Candidates, just a quick suggestion on this type of “journalism”. The proper response should be,

“David, why are you automatically assuming everyone on food stamps is black. Isn’t that simply racist stereotyping?”

"Democrat’s theme for the 2012 Election: Barack Obama vs. A Racist"

So...how is that different from the 2008 campaign. All I heard was "if obama doesn't win there will be riots in the streets." and junk like that.

For the attack word "racist" to work, those who are called by it have to "care"...I don't.

The use of the word "racist" as a weapon to attack opponents cheapens the very essence of the word...it's like the "boy who cried wolf" story...before long, nobody listens anymore.

And, there's not a bigger "racist" in the world than barack obama...
