This will be a good indicator for the Dems also that they have to play dirty tricks like running a fake Tea Party candidate in order to split the GOP vote. Watch for it to happen in races next year. So when do we start to fight fire with fire, as they say? Maybe it’s time to fund some Republicans and have them run as fake lefties. Why not? Uh, because this is a free country and you are allowed to run under different ballot lines. There is nothing to "bring charges" for. While underhanded, what he did was perfectly legal.

I don’t think this is necessarily the people being stupid. I’ve read reports that the Tea Party sympathizers know this is a dirty trick and aren’t falling for it. Also, Corwin ran a LOT of ads pointing out the dirty trick.

I see this as the result of two main issues: 1) backlash against the Republicans in general because Chris Lee behaved so badly and 2) Medicare scare tactics which will be repeated in every congressional race in the country in the next election so the GOP better be ready to counter it.

Corwin ran a lousy campaign. She flipped and flopped over Ryan’s plan, and was very late to grasp that Ryan’s plan was not popular in her district.

She didn’t do any independent thinking.

Medicare. The American people are just not yet ready to deal with entitlements. This nation is still wedded to the social welfare state and there is real clear evidence that people are willing to ween themselves from it.

Bingo. What they don't seem to understand is there is only a small window to salvage their precious welfare state with a minimum of pain. Four more years of Obama and the democrats and another 5+ trillion blown. By the end of the decade they will know what real pain is, living in a country where the dollar is in free fall and double digit inflation is the norm and China is dictating our financial policy. The government will be forced to slash entitlements, not the rate of growth stuff that Ryan is talking about, but REAL cuts in the 30%-50% range just to cover the interest payments on the national debt and good luck finding a doctor who will even accept medicare, by then the government will only be able to reimburse doctors pennies on the dollar.

There is a cruel part of me, that almost wishes to see this scenario occur just so these folks can learn the hard way about personal responsibility and not to depend on government. However, I realize a lot of innocent people would be hurt in the process and there is a good chance the country might not recover for decades if ever.

Based on what I read the GOP candidate did go after him and try to expose his leftism. If not enough people were paying attention and voted for him because they thought he was a good guy then they are more stupid than we think. Almost makes 2010 look like a fluke. I guess these voters have no problem with Pelosi care either. So now they get a liberal Democrat rep. so they get what they deserve. When she votes down the line with 0bama and Pelosi no Republican who voted for her or Davis has any right to complain, IMO.

putting out this plan played right into the left and now the left does no budget and the have plans for the next 4 years.
