Why I Cannot Endorse Mitt Romney
The Pharos Project ^ | 2011-06-02 | RW Keiser

Posted on 06/02/2011 10:20:42 AM PDT by RWK

As the field of prospective Republican presidential candidates for 2012 begins to take shape, one name keeps rising to the fore: Mitt Romney. Unfortunately, Romney makes me uneasy like few other "conservatives" do.

As this is about to publish, it appears likely that Romney will officially announce his candidacy soon. Yet I cannot, will not, endorse this man, for three key reasons.

I can give my reasons for not voting for him in one word:

RINO

I can give my reasons for not voting for him in two words:

Sleazy RINO.

I can give my reasons for not voting for him in three words:

Massachusetts Sleazy RINO (but then, adding that state would be redundant, wouldn’t it?)

This is an old cartoon, so you can now add the "Pro-Communist Heath Care" and "Anti-Communist Health Care" podiums:

I’m sure you’ve been asked before, but tell me please. Are you a blogpimp? Is there a good reason why you want us to click your blog?

I remember sitting around wondering if some guy I never heard of was going to endorse Romney or not. Thanks for the update.

Yep, if Massachusetts elected him that’s a giant red flag to begin with.

My opposition to Mitt Romney is similar to yours and is neither nuanced nor sophisticated.
Romney is slimey.
His nomination guarantees a third party nominee and the breakup of the Republican party.

I don’t need to read. One reason i won’t vote for him. Regardless what he says on the campaign trail the second he’s elected he would be cozying up with the libs. No question he would stab us in the back.

That wasn’t much of an excerpt RW. Would you consider posting the full blog article here?

He’s far from my first choice, but I would vote for him against Obama. I just hope there isn’t a third choice on the ballot not named Nader or we’re screwed.

0bama points to RomneyCare as his inspiration for 0bamaCare.

That’s enough socialism for me to make a decision.

It's a shame that I'll never know what they are, as I am not clicking through to your blog and you don't deem it important enough to post in full here.

A garbage column RMK, whoever you are. OK, opposing Romney on Health Care is one thing. And Abortion is mute because the only thing the president can do about abortion is to nominate Supreme Court Justices who might overturn Roe. That's not guaranteed even if we had the staunchest pro-life candidate. There is little or nothing Romney could do as governor of Massachusetts about abortion. If he was vociferously pro-life, he would never have been governor in a state where the population is probably 75% or more pro-choice. I cannot believe that there are people walking around upright who cannot understand this.

But the issue of Polygamy is simply despicable. The author's comments on this are over the top and are hiding a real prejudice against Mormons. You can't hide it. (and I'm not Mormon). It's so obvious that you should be ashamed of yourself.

Why not post those reasons here?

What seems to be the problem with the full text?

“... the only thing the president can do about abortion is to nominate Supreme Court Justices who might overturn Roe.” Um, do you really believe that, or are you just tossing out smoke and mirrors? The current bastard in the White House is working his commie fanny off to promote taxpayer funding for abortions through his ‘healthcare’ bill, and his strongarming states like IL for defunding his friends at Planned Barrenhood. For a poster who chose ‘truthguy’ as his/her handle, your poor discenment of the facts is amazing!
