like TX, probably not, this state has a spine and stands up for their principles unlike California who rolls over for Ahnold.
With these winds and at the rate the Wallow fire is going, it won’t be long before it’s in New Mexico. Maybe Barry will come up with some money to help them put it out. I’ll be happy once it moves outta here. The smoke is chokin’ me to death. I feel really bad for those brave souls trying to fight that thing. It is definitely a “monster”. 127,000 acres so far. What a shame. That was some beautiful country.
I am very sorry to hear what is happening to the fine state of AZ., what a lot of people don’t get is we are United, and what happens to one state affects another.
We've had the smoke and haze, even ash, from the Wallow fire here in the Albuquerque metro area. It's bad enough at times that I can't see the Sandia Mountains, which are only 15 miles east of me.
Yeah. We have a friend whose brother lives in Albuquerque. He said the same thing today. He woke up and found his car was covered with ash this morning. That fire is huge. They’ve got over 1000 people involved in fighting it. There is not much they can really do. The winds are blowing the embers that are carried up in the plumes as far as three miles away from the main fire.
We’re getting a lot of that smoke here in Southwest Colorado.
It could be a bad summer for fires.
