In the scheme of things is it more important for Sarah Palin to recite when asked the Longfellow version of Revere’s ride or for the president of the United States when asked to know the difference between Iraq and Afghanistan?

She simply mis-spoke. And I think it makes conservatives look like apologists when they look for ways to make it appear she said it intentionally. She simply made a mistake.
After reading Paul Revere’s own account concerning the events of that night, it could be reasonably assumed he was trying to warn or alarm the British. He definitely tried to put the fear of God in them. Whether he succeeded or not is beside the point. Obviously, the media is scouring every statement Palin makes to try to prove her an idiot. Would they do the same to Obama? Sorry I asked that question.
