'Dumb' Palin gives a history lesson while the boys 'lie' around

Last week was just delicious for political junkies such as yours truly. Between Sarah Palin's One Nation bus tour, Cong. Anthony Weiner's, well, weiner, and John Edwards' indictment, I was in virtual heaven. So many bloggers, updates, and Facebook debates and so little time. I seriously lost sleep trying to keep up.

One of the highlights for me was the photo a friend of mine took of Sarah Palin in New York City. My friend was on her way to a play and passed by Fox News when she saw Palin come out with Piper trailing behind. She quickly grabbed her cell phone camera and got off the terrific pic at left.

Now, my friend is not a Palin fan, but she assured everyone she did not throw anything at the former governor. Well, I am a fan and what I wanted to know was how tall she was since I once read Tina Fey comment that Palin was a lot more statuesque than she. The report came back to me that Palin was probably around 5'5" and that she was very thin, maybe even a size "0." So jealous.

As Palin's tour continued to Boston, the MSM was all a Twitter about her stop at Old North Church and her on-the-fly 15-second response to a question about Paul Revere. Oh, the derision at her "flub" that Revere had warned the British about the patriots being armed and their unwillingness to let their arms be taken away, by "ringing those bells." Well, students of history and some scholars have stepped up to say, Palin was, indeed, right.

This incident revealed a few things: The folks who follow Palin salivate over what they rightly or wrongly believe are "gotcha" moments and Palin needs to learn she doesn't have to respond to every question shouted at her. Although, now that I think about it, if she had been flip or refused to answer when a reporter yelled out the Revere question, the story then would have been: "Palin dumbstruck at Revere question; turns on media and refuses to give answers to anyone except Fox News." In some circles this woman will never win.

Speaking about not winning, Anthony Weiner's hacking story is going from suspect to where there's smoke there's fire. The website biggovernment.com is posting photos today from a woman who approached them with a treasure trove of baddies that leads one with a brain between their ears to question the congressman's original assertions. Is Weiner that dumb or that egotistical? I vote for big ego -- big dumb ego.

With John Edwards I vote for dumb, big ego and heartlessness. The facts in this case have been well publicized: affair with blonde videographer groupie while wife battles cancer, the blonde mistress gets pregnant -- mad spinning of lies -- and a cover-up that allegedly funneled campaign funds to keep the blonde quiet and not impinge on he of the big hair's presidential campaign, resulting in last week's indictment.

I'll give this to Palin over Weiner and Edwards: At least she got the country talking about Paul Revere and ended up giving us all an American history lesson. Can't say the same for the boys. And the media calls her dumb.

“At least she got the country talking about Paul Revere and ended up giving us all an American history lesson.”

Well put. Palin represents the best of America.

Meanwhile the anti-Palin cultists, steeping in hatred while trying to criticize Palin for this, only look more foolish as the days go by.

It’s funny watching them in full force on the comments section. When did historical accuracy ever matter to these people??
It’s disgusting watching their criticism considering all the ridiculous historical gaffes Obama has made, and Biden. None of this mattered until now.

It is interesting how the Left thought they had their gotcha moment from Sarah. It was after a week of rigorous work trying to get something they could use against her. They thought they had it in the bag with Sarah’s comments about Paul Revere. The news of their victory went all over the web and the State Owned Media. The trouble was that Sarah was historically correct and it showed how ignorant were those who promoted the story. The fact of Sarah’s accuracy went out before the Weinergate blockbuster blew everything else off the news. There was no chance for the Palin haters to get a foothold on re-spinning their story. The Weiner literally screwed a whole week of effort at getting the goods on Sarah. LOL!
