Serious language warning but the gang scene from “Falling Down” makes me chuckle.

Yea! It's play acting. The reality is that if you got caught with a knife like that in a U.S. city, you'd go to jail.

In some cities, a knife like that found in the trunk of a car would result in all the car's occupants being charged with a felony.

Enjoy the show but know the law before getting caught with a knife like that!

James Garner tells off Eurotrash America haters in ‘The Americanization of Emily’. Priceless

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyMRz1hbb4M

Lt. Cmdr. Charles E. Madison: ‘You American haters bore me to tears, Ms. Barham. I’ve dealt with Europeans all my life. I know all about us parvenus from the States who come over here and race around your old Cathedral towns with our cameras and Coca-cola bottles... Brawl in your pubs, paw at your women, and act like we own the world. We over-tip, we talk too loud, we think we can buy anything with a Hershey bar. I’ve had Germans and Italians tell me how politically ingenuous we are, and perhaps so.
But we haven’t managed a Hitler or a Mussolini yet. I’ve had Frenchmen call me a savage because I only took half an hour for lunch. Hell, Ms. Barham, the only reason the French take two hours for lunch is because the service in their restaurants is lousy. The most tedious lot are you British.
We crass Americans didn’t introduce war into your little island. This war, Ms. Barham to which we Americans are so insensitive, is the result of 2,000 years of European greed, barbarism, superstition, and stupidity. Don’t blame it on our Coca-cola bottles. Europe was a going brothel long before we came to town.’

Two westerns come to mind:

Tombstone — “You tell ‘em I’m comin’! And hell’s comin’ with me, you hear? Hell’s comin’ with me!”

Unforgiven — “Any man I see, I’m gonna kill him. Anyone takes a shot at me, I’ll not only kill him but his dog, too, and burn his damn house down.”

Favorite. Movie. Scene. Ever.

And an earlier variation on the "That's a knife" scene. Or, don't bring an A6M Zero to a Tomcat fight :D

‘Shall We Dance’ 2004

Beverly Clark:

‘We need a witness to our lives. There’s a billion people on the planet... I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you’re promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things... all of it, all of the time, every day. You’re saying ‘Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness’.

(By the way, a very good little movie that is not well known.)

Don’t remember the film, but the scene stays in my mind.

Drug detectives snatch a guy’s vase and one sticks his finger into the powder inside, then licks it and says it tastes like “China White”, but the perp said no, it was actually an urn with his mother’ ashes.

I love this movie. A man who is successful, but inwardly unhappy, finding happiness in the pure joy of dance.

Crocodile Dundee was the epitome of Chopper Reid's advice that Australia should "Harden the F**k Up!"

(Funny as hell, if you're not too offended by F-bombs. Then again, if you are, maybe YOU need to "Harden the F**k Up!)

Reminds me of one of my favorites. Indiana Jones and the sword twirling guy. He just shoots him.

“The Final Countdown” has been a favorite of mine since I was 5 years old. (That’s how old I was when it came out and I saw it with my parents when it first came out.) That scene in particular is one of my favorites in the film. “Delta Force” is another film of that nature that I absolutely love. It’s nice to see the American military shown in a positive light as it is in those two films.
