ICE agents warn Americans “to brace themselves for what’s coming”
The Examiner ^ | 6/24/11 | Dave Gibson

In the wake of the recent memo from the Obama administration which announced “prosecutorial discretion” in dealing with illegal aliens, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents across the country have been speaking out what many of them are calling a “backdoor amnesty.”

On Wednesday, ICE Union president Chris Crane told PRNewswire: “Any American concerned about immigration needs to brace themselves for what's coming. This is just one of many new ICE policies in queue aimed at stopping the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws in the United States. Unable to pass its immigration agenda through legislation, the Administration is now implementing it through agency policy.”

Crane continued: “ICE and the Administration have excluded our union and our agents from the entire process of developing policies, it was all kept secret from us, we found out from the newspapers. ICE worked hand-in-hand with immigrants rights groups, but excluded its own officers.”

Also ignored by the press, was last year's no confidence vote ICE agents gave Obama appointee, ICE director John Morton.

The National ICE Council represents about 7,000 agents and support staff.

Those agents, just as many American citizens are also convinced that the new policy, which gives special preference to illegal aliens who have a relative who has served in the military, those who are enrolled in any education program and even those who are pregnant or nursing is simply to a move from an unpopular president, desperate for re-election.

"I always thought deportation and/or incarceration of illegals once identified as such was the LAW of the land. Disobedience of these laws is grounds for prosecution of whoever orders it - even if it is Obama!

That would require an opposition party willing to stand up, fight, and enforce the law. All we've got is Boehner and the Republicans.

“This is one reason why this country isn`t going to survive in its present form. There are simply too many forces arrayed against it.”

Almost like our country is being fundamentally transformed.

This may sound strange to some, but I say lay off all ICE and INS personnel, including border patrol. Why staff an operation in which a productive result is the least desired end? The $hitstorm it would create would let the sunshine in.

Use unions on the administration. Defund all INS / ICE / Border Operations, right now.

I would love to immigrate to New Zealand but however, unlike this country, they are sticklers on immigration !

I thought that the only aliens allowed into the military are permanent resident aliens (with a green card). I suspect that this story about “why should we deport people who have served honorably in our military” is (military terminology) Bravo Sierra. If people with phony identities and no social security numbers can get inside our military we are in trouble.

Exactly. Once the Democrats got away with ignoring the Defense of Marriage Act they simply moved on to ignoring immigration law.

Hope those %&*ers don’t mind if when Sarah Palin gets elected next year she chooses to ignore seventy years of gun laws.

I was hoping W would prosecute the Clintons. I was stupid to even think he would consider it.

Bill Clinton didn’t come close to getting the boot. It was decided long before the actual joke of a trial.

If one side has decided that laws only mean something when you want them to then the other side will soon do the same thing. Laws and society only work if people by and large agree to follow the laws which have been made in an orderly and lawful process.

I have wondered what would happen if the U.S. shut down all immigration from everywhere else in the world except South of the border in order to admit, as quickly as possible, all those who are willing to come here legally. Get in line, do the paperwork and you are welcome. It would remove the idea that we are simply against Latinos and focus the issue on the idea that we are against breaking the law. Defacto it would irritate the other countries who would be cut off from coming because of their spaces being given to the Latinos. Not sure if the process even works on allotment of spaces given to different countries, so this may just be crazy talk.

I so wish I could believe this. IMHO, this pResident is unimpeachable. I have no faith that the republicans or democrats in office will do anything to stop Obama; no matter what he does.
