If you're going to argue or criticize, don't bother replying.

Heck, I AGREE with you.
Unfortunately, my state...Washington...went over to the dark side several years ago. It just took me a while to figure it out. Everything I stand for is reflected in how I vote. But, how I vote (and, as it turns out, how 70% of the REST of the state votes) is nullified by the two counties to the north of me. Those counties have the biggest populations, and they are filled to the brim with the brain-dead.
I love my state for mountainous granduer, the thick, green forests, and for the memories of my youth.
Beyond that...I think I’s rather live in Texas. At least THEY are still free.

Tip of the hat from your Alabama neighbor. We have family in Georgia and also spend a good bit of time in the North Georgia Mountains. Beautiful state!

Atlanta was lost years ago. I can’t stand it when people call it the “Capital of the South” when it has so many people that want to leave Southern Culture behind infesting it. For all of Augusta’s flaws, it embraces its heritage much more closely.

Time for a little joke folks
...What is Pennsylvania? Pittsburgh at one end, Philly on the other and ALABAMA in the middle...Georgia is alot like that Atlanta in the middle and you have the rest of the state. Now before we get some self righteous and self serving Northern bigots chiming in, I moved here from NY and would NEVER go back (unless in chains or a pine box!)
If you have never been here, you don't know it or US so please enjoy a hot fresh cup of STFU and enjoy gay marriage and $8 a pack smokes in NY!

I too am a Georgian, and if someone can explain to me how to teach my kids and grandkids that they have to obey our laws but these other folks sneaking into our country without any penalty at all. And, have you noticed that those that break our immigration laws also seem to think that it’s ok to pick and choose only the laws they want to obey.

Georgia is much less infiltrated with illegals than Texas and yet, has taken a step which Texas has not attempted.
I too, absolutely agree with the poster.
To: hoagy62
I'm in your same boat same state. It's very frustrating but I feel better by not entering or buying any thing from either county. We purposely stay away from them and visit and spend in the others.
