btw, my statement to 2ndV applies to you (and all my other detractors as well).
If you are doing something in RL that can use some help FRMail me.
I know you think I have PDS (I don’t) and your anger comes out even in the spaces between your words.
But the angriest FReeper is still about more than the average American sees (sadly). I know you are about the USC and Conservative values - we just disagree VEHEMENTLY about how those values can and should be carried forward.
Keep calling me stuff, that is fine and good.
But when 2ndDivisionVet reminded me we have some RL thintgs we have to take care of, it reminded me that we can yell, kick, scream, taunt and be *deeply sarcastic* until the ends of the Earth stop by, but, damnit, whether Gov. Palin runs, doesn’t run, made a mistake, did a great job in her decision, WHATEVER! In the long run we had all better be there for each other.
Opinions are what we think at the moment. Values are what we share.
I am not asking to be let off the hook for my opinions on the subject of this thread. I am just helping you remind me we are pulling on the same rope.
*DING* *DING* OK, break is over!
>>Because if you are claiming that you know all about the movie industry, know people in it, your posts disprove actual knowledge of it.<<
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I lived in Malibu for over 10 years — I graduated from Pepperdine.
I rubbed elbows with Johnny Carson (my neighbor), Larry Hagman (who had the coolest old panel truck), Flip Wilson, and Linda Rondstadt (whose house I helped save in the 1978 rains) — those are those ones I remember off the top of my head.
A standard contract may include a “will promote” clause, but it hasn’t been enforced since the 1950s. There is no slavery anymore. Gov. Palin could simply have said she will not be at the opening (it happens all the time in real Hollywood — the one where I have connections).
You should be careful before tripping on your lip. It just makes you look foolish.
Do you need me to make you look MORE foolish?
Like I said, we are on the same team but at the moment, your flags are flapping in the wind.
What you call "anger", isn't anger at all. You are projecting your own feelings and mindset.
I have stated facts, facts which you choose to ignore, make fun of, denigrate, and attempt to twist.
What I have actually been doing, in case you would like to know, is laughing my head off at you, whilst wondering just how on earth you cope out there in the real world, if you are the same there as you are here. You have no idea how you appear to others, but I doubt that you care. I do pity you, though....if that helps ya any. :-)
FYI: Sarah will be at the Mall of America on wednesday signing books along side her daughter.
I can return in kind, with a far more extensive and exclusive resume; however, that's not my style and there's no need for me to do so; especially since you still don't know what you're talking about.
There is no "promotion" anything, with the Palins and this film. They haven't done any and besides which, such a clause would NEVER and still doesn't entitle the stars or even bit players a say-so as to where or when a film is premiered! Hell, even directors don't have/never had such an input! And though studio heads sometimes did, even they weren't the ones to pick and choose every opening site. There is a reason WHY most of the major studios eventually got into the distribution end.I'll allow you to try to muddle through the answer to that one, all on your ownsome.
Trust me, this IS a topic you do NOT want to get into an argument with me about. :-)
Love it! "But what the heck, you're welcome. Join us at the picnic. You can eat your fill of all the food you bring yourself."
Maybe ol' Meredith Wilson was on to something!
You beat me to it! (^)
ANOTHER Post of the Day!
Palin has just brought more positive coverage to the town of Pella than their chamber of commerce could muster in a decade. In a state where presidential primaries are sport, the attention and involvement of Gov. Palin is certainly welcomed.
Your candidate, Herman Cain, is a good man, but I don’t think you’re doing him any favors with your nonsensical carping here about a potential competitor who has been nothing but gracious and complimentary toward him.
It reveals your PDS issues.
If you'd read Going Rogue you'd have recognized that this is how she campaigned for governor of Alaska.
And the press still has no effective counter for it, as it is essentially the same strategy that Reagan used, talking to the American people over the heads of the press.
Cheers!
No, it's a stroke of genius.
It maintains the uncertainty over whether or not she is *really* going to run.
It steals the oxygen from both Bachmann *and* Obama (yesterday and today both will have been in Iowa).
It is a good entrée to the Dutch Reformed people who might otherwise be leaning to Bachmann (as another Freeper pointed out in a long screed a day or two ago).
Cheers!
Cheers!
This one is too good to pass up.
You are confusing reductio ad absurdum (which is a legitimate syllogism) with ad hominem (which is a fallacy and not an appeal to logic at all).
And then you call yourself "educated"...(hack cough spit), pardon me, I must have channeled that cat laughing up hairballs that someone recently mentioned.
Cheers!
Wow could not have Figured that out By Myself
OMG ROFL -- you think vector math and log tables are tough.
You *do* realize that such math is routinely taught at the high-school level, don't you?
Cheers!
You might like this.
Cheers!
You post opinions and claim that they are arguments that need to be met with logic.
You say that Sarah is childish and petty, how can anyone use logic to oppose your personal opinion?
I read your bio and you are worse than pissant was, because most of your slimy back stabs are low key, but you are consistently low.
Don't bother whining about personal attacks, that's all you are good at doing.
Geez! Give the woman a break. She’s a brilliant manipulator of the Mainstream Media who puts the late, great Diana to shame. Brava to Mrs. Palin! Run, baby, run!
You said it just right: “she makes me smile.” That is exactly why I love Sarah. She, indeed, always makes me smile! Plus, she makes America’s enemies frown.
