World trade is not working in fiat currencies at this moment. There is an appearance that it is, but adjustments are being made minute by minute. That is why so much of the Chinese merchandise that used to trade quickly on Ebay 4 or 5 years ago is not there now. The structure of Ebay cannot keep up with the velocity of the fluctuations.
When corporations have an incestuous relationship with government, it becomes a sort of fascism, and such corporations are not blameless. Also involved, IIRC, in the Argentine crisis, was the Argentine gov’t allowing foreign companies to buy up Argentine resources, which is also a very bad thing. Correct me if I’m wrong, I saw the series a couple of years ago and there is much I don’t know as always.

ROTFLMAO! An R controlled Congress right now is not doing the right things, or not very many of them. Baby steps, an inch here and an inch there. No one is going to stop this train from going off the cliff.
It's not just the financial situation, it's all the humans. What many of them will do with "austerity measures" which the spineless Rs (and demoniac Dems) in Congress will not even take. So "austerity" will forced upon us all, sooner or later.
I think the numbers are higher for people who pay attention. Those who have been fortunate enough to have stable employment tend to ignore whats going on around them.
