The country is running out of time. We’re broke, nationally, and as the spendthrifts in Washington, D.C. try to discover new and increasingly dishonest, disguised methods by which to hide the scope of the impending disaster, we should be considering what it means for we, the people.
There can be no doubt that they are driving us to complete and unrecoverable collapse. I can describe to you what I believe their motives to be, but that doesn’t change the reality, and I’d rather focus on what we can do about it. Time is getting short. It’s possible that there will be no elections in 2012, because we may have collapsed into chaos and anarchy. If hyperinflation strikes, as some now believe it will, the country is over as we have known it.
Let’s imagine, for the sake of argument, that we can stave off complete collapse at least long enough to hold the 2012 elections. What should be our electoral goal, as a people? We must first stop the hemorrhaging and apply a tourniquet to this nation’s deep, spurting, arterial wounds. That tide of blood, the lifeblood of our economy, and our future, cannot be stemmed by band-aids and a series of well-meaning but undisciplined politicians. We need a determined practitioner who is willing to crack the chest and do the serious, nation-saving surgery. As it stands, there is only one Republican under consideration who fits that description: Sarah Palin.
My own farm is slowly failing. While part of it is the drought, and part of it is the stupidity of the Texas legislature, and its unwillingness to put Texas horsemen on par with those in neighboring states, but more importantly, it is the general economy. The price of fuel, the shrinking value of the dollar, and the general lack of disposable income nationwide is killing the horse industry in Texas. Nobody buys horses when they’re choosing between fuel for their vehicle, and food for their table. Soon, at my farm, it may be a choice between feeding horses and eating them.
Barack Obama is gutting this country, and he’s doing it by intention and malice aforethought. There can be no more claim that he is accomplishing this all due merely to gross incompetence. I don’t think it’s possible to be that incompetent. Even a blind pig finds an acorn occasionally. This guy doesn’t seem to notice a truckload of them. He sees them, but he evinces the willingness, the naked determination, to ignore them.
There’s not much desire on the GOP side to do anything better, or at least no willingness to fight to press these issues. Boehner and Cantor may be ‘really good guys,’ but that’s not enough. We need fighters. We need warriors. We need somebody to realize that the person whose ass needs kicking is the guy boasting about being the guy who says he will “decide whose ass to kick.”
We cannot compromise or otherwise weasel our way out of this mess. There is no short-cut back to prosperity. It’s going to take daring, disciplined leadership. It’s going to take a leader that can look to all the people in the country and say, approximately: “You, the people, must lead us out of this mess, and it starts with a commitment to what is right, rather than what is easy.” Too few of our politicians are willing to get tough in the name of the country and its future.
This is why I am betting the farm on Sarah Palin. Her shortened term as Governor of Alaska stands as empirical evidence that she knows how to lead, is willing to confront difficult problems, combat the media, fight entrenched interests, and rally the people to demonstrate the better angels of their nature.
I will support Sarah Palin, if only she will run, and I am holding on, a little longer, with all I can, for the future of my country, and the future of my farm, in the hope that she will shortly answer the call.

I am with you Onyx! I can’t see anything else and don’t understand why everyone can’t see the same thing. Sarah is the only real thing out there. Its not a worship think like Obama in 08. It’s just everyone else is self promoting and Sarah is real. I have not every heard a conservative question anything she has said on policy...just personal attacks. She is real. I am in different but simular circumstances in Texas and Pray she will be elected so we can start to turn things around. You and I know Perry is NOT the answer.
Per Jack Wheeler, he has been told she will announce her candidacy on JULY 4TH. [He had no way to confirm this, but that was what he was told by a close connection to Sarah.]
Agreed! She’s the only real person. She is just like us and that’s why she is feared and hated. All the elites are out of business. We would have none of them either.

I am hoping Sarah is going to run also and for all of the same reasons. We have come to a cross road in this country where weak and inexperienced leadership cannot hope to restore our Republic. We need a strong, God fearing, and courageous leader and Sarah Palin is that person.

This whole Obama/Soros scheme and scam has to do with bringing down the money of the US....Soros “gets off” on destroying economies....it is a game for him that brings him power and wealth and that is all he cares about....he wants to control the world’s money....he could give a hang about any of the people or their “needs”....only as it allows him to control the purse strings of every citizen and government.
I will never believe anything other than Obama was discovered and programmed for many years just for this opportunity....he appears intelligent and articulate but is actually a stupid, empty man who is so ego weak that he can be easily led by someone like Soros (et all).
This next year will be devastating to the US....as we struggle with deciding who should be the next President...Soros via Obama and gang will be looting the people....and it won’t matter if Obama loses because the deed will have been completed because we have a bunch of idiots in office in Washington that have the insight and knowledge of a gnat....(not to mean to slander the gnat)
As we look at candidates that can “beat” Obama we will lose focus on what is really going on....already dissention and diversion has been started to get “us” arguing against one another as the media plays its part in allowing the destruction of our economy to be completed. We will fall prey to their scheme of keeping us off balance as they attack the candidates, one by one, pushing us away from the reality of what our government is up to...really up to as we shift this way and that way deciding on the “perfect” candidate.
I am a Palinista....have been since before she came on the scene in 2008.....I have not swayed...will not be swayed and will not look at other options being poked down my throat. If you truly support a candidate...then stand by them. The final decision will be the primaries and that is when the candidate will be chosen by the people who no longer want Obama in the WH.
In the mean time, in between time, I am looking at what is happening in Washington....and I suggest you do the same...because that is where the real story is...!
We are being raped and have been hit with date rape drugs via the media....we have been numbed out not dumbed out...time to shake off the tom foolery and get serious. Our “enemies” work in Congress, the WH and the Supreme Court....we have few friends in government....time to figure out who is who and get rid of them!!”

No doubt at the behest of the Obama Machine, her enemies in the dominant, establishment, left-wing media, have atacked her from every angle including thru her family and she’s weathered the storm...
The hardest part of the blow may have passed...There’s little left that hasn’t been explored to try to ruin her politically...She’s survived everything that’s been thrown at her...
Just a little while until the Republican herd shows themselves for the (mostly) RINOs they are...Then this fall, announce and conservatives and disaffected independents will flock to her side...

Sarah is the ONLY one on my radar right now. If she doesn’t run, I’m going to have to settle.....
I have said for a long time the 4th of July would be the best time for her to announce. It may be that waiting to long after that would foster the perception, she is weak in her ability to make a decision. It may not be the reality, (I believe she has a strategy) but perception is a strong force.

Then, you haven't been paying attention. Her tax increase on oil companies in Alaska was a disaster, one the slowed job growth, oil production and tax revenue and one Republicans are still trying to repeal. She lobbied to be RINO McCain's VP and supported TARP.
Let's get real here. She's an above-average potential conservative candidate but she has sold out at times just like every other potential Republican nominee. She doesn't walk on water and isn't perfect.

I have heard that she must wait for two years after she resigned as Governor to run for another public office or else she would open herself to all kind of lawsuits from those troublemakers in Alaska.....just waiting for an opportunity.

Neal Foster of Nome was the only Democrat to vote in favor.
