It looks like normalization and lawsuits are working. Of course, the new, reformed weapons law in Wisconsin is expected to be signed by Governor Walker in a week.
I hope the lawsuits to come are hugely expensive and agonizing.
We need to help the cops by suing the living s*it out of them.
I hope many people help by $uing, and not just getting mad.
Moral of the story, guns are good and bluetooth makes you look like a crazy person. :D
The simple fact is that people can and do get used to new circumstances. The chief of police in my town came from a large city PD, where he was a captain. He was startled at the number of pistol permits in my town as his old city gave-out basically none. Now, several years later, he has no problem with issuing them here, new or renewals.
So does one continue to shop at this store?
If I had an alternative, I would certainly not do so.
Next time when the manager asks someone to leave their open carry in the car, someone who’s truly crazy will come in carrying without a license and then what? It’s already been proven it would take about 15 minutes for the cops to arrive.
I don’t know what your local ordinances are, but usually a private business has to post a no firearms sign to make it a gun free zone.
Open carry is a tactical mistake. The bad guys will take you out first.
The disturbing part of this story is the bluetooth, and how someone using one can appear, let us say, “differently mentally-abled” if you look at them from the side without the bluetooth.
Then what really gets you is when you *think* somebody is talking on their bluetooth, just that you can’t see it, and you suddenly realize that they aren’t wearing a bluetooth.
“That boy ain’t right in the haid.”

1/ Are you really aware of your surroundings when yammering away on your cellphone?
2/ If you opt for open carry, are you using a level 2 or level 3 holster? Have you practiced weapon retention?
3/ Why did we have to wait until comment #13 to find out what state this occurred in? The poster could have easily used brackets - [ ] to tell us where it took place.
