Reports indicate the fire came within 50 feet of the grounds of the Los Alamos lab where plutonium was stored in a fabric material building. This is unexplainable, unacceptable, and came within feet of causing the worst disaster in US history.

It's 3 am, do you know where your Obama is?
This is a complete misreprentation from what I have read. The waste in question are articles such as clothing or tools that might have come into contact with radioactive materials. Waste such as plutonium is kept in a different secure facility.
This qualifies as a disaster “resolved or averted” by the messiah.
I’m not going to let the words “fabric type material” get me wound up. There are some incredibly durable fabrics being produced these days.
I needs ta know more.
Not even close.
“Within 50 feet of the grounds”? That means the fire probably came within several miles (!) of the building holding fissile material. Some crisis.
Well, since the “Centre for Research on Globalization” (CFROG?) is reporting it, it must be true, right?
Your post is correct Pu is in hardened igloos...
This was rad waste in the soft shelters.
I had a relative from NM call me all worried because of the spin they got from anti-nuke types on Good Morning America. Five minutes on Google fixed that problem. Too bad the nutbars who wrote this couldn’t have bothered doing the same. Or, then again, they probably didn’t want to.
I’m reminded that kevlar is a ‘fabric type material’.
Oh, c’mon. Don’t blow up a good conspiracy story. Some read the National Enquirer, I prefer to look for UFO’s (unidentified fried observers).
it's despicable!
Lol.... Yep.
Stay safe.
Let’s say you work with potentially contaminated stuff, or work in a contaminated area. You wear a Tyvek jumpsuit, nitrile gloves (in blue or black) and vinyl booties. When you are done you chuck all that stuff in a drum, which gets compressed later and sealed.
Once you are degowned the HP checks your hands and clothes for activity.
This drum full of coveralls and booties gets stored somewhere until they have lots of them, then they are shipped off.
These are the drums in the “fabric type buildings”.
It’s actually cheaper to do this than to find out how much contamination there is and sort out the clean stuff from the hot stuff.
I’ve done this, at Los Alamos, Sandia and Oak Ridge, so some of the plastic gloves near that fire might be mine!
Yeah ... The waste was safe.

You mean “a tent”?
Is that the Los Alamos Glen Plaid building?
