The Justice Department is obstructing the congressional investigation of a U.S. law enforcement operation intended to crack down on major weapons traffickers on the Southwest border, according to the embattled leader of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Ken Melson, the acting director of the ATF, lobbed the accusation when he sneaked in for an interview with congressional investigators on July 4, two days ahead of his scheduled interview with the inspector general about the operation known as "Fast and Furious," Fox News has learned.
"If his account is accurate, then ATF leadership appears to have been effectively muzzled while the DOJ sent over false denials and buried its head in the sand," Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said in a letter Tuesday to Attorney General Eric Holder. "That approach distorted the truth and obstructed our investigation."
The Justice Department is reportedly looking to oust Melson, who has been acting ATF director since April 2009, as the agency deals with its biggest scandal in nearly two decades. Andrew Traver, who was tapped in November by President Obama to become the permanent ATF director, could be named as acting director until the Senate acts on his nomination, sources have said.

Unless the grass has been replaced with carpet at Ft. Marcy Park I do not think it is a place of danger for him to go too...if like Foster by the time he got there he would already be cold and it and the danger past and done for.

Obama and Holder were probably shocked that Melson gave testimony without their permission. Holder will go under the bus with all of the other’s aboard the Obama express to communism. I am sure Melson is ‘one of them’ he was in on it but decided he was not rotting in jail for them. Holder may do the same.

Personally don’t think so as these people (Holder at that echelon) are chosen by their leaders with specific understandings of how they will operate, and what they will do if caught. This is a war, a psycho war if you will, but still a war with an army intent upon winning.

Such street addresses are virtually public record today, in the era of whitepages.com and google street images.
Even for “celebrities.” You will be amazed what a google search will reveal.
Of course, the Department of Fatherland Security might be concerned about mere common proles looking up the addresses of our more-equal commissars.
By telling our august AG, "Eric, sweetheart, you know we love you. Look at what happened to Ron Brown when he kept his mouth shut too long. Look at how many Obama has turned on to save his thin skin. Do you really think you are immune? Think of your family..." nobody could reasonably call it a threat against a public offal. Meanwhile, those pictures Uncle Bill had of Ron Brown with a third of his skull blown out were so graphic that, well, he'd be extruding little Democrats from the bowels of his shorts. Does anybody know how to find them? I looked around on Google Images without much luck.
