I was just at the Alamo this weekend much bigger than I thought! Awesome & lots to look at including weapons, antiques, room displays, the Alamo fight model which was quite impressive along with the history and names of those that died.
The surrounding area also has lots of bars, restaurants along with the River Walk.
Never been there, though I’d like to see it. I’ve been to Fort William Henry up at Lake George; that seemed much smaller than you’d think from the “Last of the Mohicans” movie (nearby Fort Ticonderoga is much more worthwhile, while Quebec’s “Old City” takes the cake - it’s supposed to be the only walled city in North America).
