Black America vs. Obama?
WND ^ | July 11, 2011 | Pat Buchanan

"The Disappearing Black Middle Class" ran the headline over the Chicago Sun-Times story. And the statistics from the Economic Policy Institute were indeed sobering.

In 2007, best year of the Bush era, white households had a median net worth of $134,280, compared with $13,450 for black households.

By 2009, the median net worth for white households had fallen 24 percent to $97,860. For black households, it had plummeted 83 percent to $2,170, a near wipeout.

"Is this Democratic administration about to go to war with its base? Is black America souring on Barack Obama?"

Instead of 97% voting for him, it will only be 90%.

They will vote for him even stronger in the next election.

Black America, I fear, is too dumb to realize that their black slave owner, obama, is doing just what he said he would do.

What an absolute travesty that the first black president is of the lowest caliber possible. That anyone would vote for this wicked man again is beyond disgusting.

The stimulus was a huge transfer payment to black Americans and its running out.

I guess black America didn't like the progress it was making economically, so it decided to vote for “change”. Well, things certainly have changed! Now they have no jobs, no houses, and no money, I hope it was all worth it to see a guy with slightly darker skin on the TV running things. But I wonder when Obama loses in a landslide in 2012 if they will feel the same way. How is their racial pride going to take the first black president being labeled a complete and utter failure?

George Bush screwed the blacks so bad that it will Obama at least another 4 years to pull them back up.

The only reason “Black America” (whatever that is supposed to mean) would be disappointed with 0bama is that they didn’t get their “one big check” that they inferred would be coming from “the first black president”.

I do not believe that is possible.

One of the critiques directed at Gov. Perry is that America is not going to vote for another cowboy from Texas after the disaster of W. (Hey I like W, but he did let the dem congress spend way too much, just like his daddy did). Anyway, what is the complete unadulterated disaster of Obama going to mean to any succeeding black candidate, at least from the dem party. Doesn't seem to be hurting Cain but maybe it's too early to tell. Will voters let Obama rub off on other black candidates, even if it's subconsciously?

I hope not, especially if those black candidates effectively point out the differences between 0bama and themselves.

BTY: W did some good things but I blame him for not exposing 0bama for what he is. W had the intelligence on BO and did nothing. W broke his oath to protect and defend against enemies, foreign and domestic.

No offense to the original poster, but why did the author waste timre writing this naive drivel? He would have done more for the country had he spent his time using a toothbrush to polish the individual blades of grass inside a 3’x3’ square on his lawn.

blacks are not going to abandon him. he’ll get 94% of their vote without a second thought. they judge him by the color of his skin not the content of his character.

Agreed. It’s unfortunate that for some folks, race trumps every other consideration.

They are 25 percent of the employees at Treasury and Veterans Affairs, 31 percent of the State Department, 37 percent of Department of Education employees and 38 percent of Housing and Urban Development. They are 42 percent of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., 55 percent of the employees at the Government Printing Office and 82 percent at the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency.
