Openly Gay Anchor’s Extraordinarily Harsh Words About Michele Bachmann

Openly gay MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts had some very harsh words for Michele Bachmann and the GOP on Friday.

Roberts was speaking to Jimmy DeSalvia, the head of GOProud, a gay Republican organization, about Bachmann. DeSalvia said it was important to "replace" a "failed president," and that his organization had reached out to all the GOP presidential candidates.

"You will replace [Obama] with a person who would extinguish you," Roberts said to DeSalvia. He added that Bachmann is someone who "doesn't believe that you have a right in this country to get married, that believes you don't even have a right in this country to be gay because she co-owns a clinic that will convert you."

When I read the title of the thread I thought for sure it was Rachel Maddow it was talking about.

Thanks massmike.
"You will replace [Obama] with a person who would extinguish you," Roberts said to DeSalvia.
What did DeSalvia say, "gosh, you're so right, I've been such a fool"? Looks like all the "coverage" is actually of Roberts and what he's been gargling on, er, saying, rather than what happened next.

I don’t care what they call themselves, they aren’t voting republican.

And yet 1/3 of self-identified homosexuals voted Republican in 2010 midterms according to exit polls. That's up over time from 20% who voted for W.

You can join with the SF and Hollyweird liberal activists in denying it all you want but gays are a far more reachable bloc than Jews or blacks as potential GOP voters.

You see what you want to see which is just what the Left wants you to see too.

Homosexuals can and do respond to a fiscally conservative message even if they may lean more libertarian socially. If you've paid any attention to Michele Bachmann, you'd know she's trying to appeal to all three types, not just a narrow band of social conservatives. She knows it's what it takes to win.

I saw and heard the same extermination rhetoric in 2000 from radical Leftist homosexuals trying to scare other gays away from voting for W.

It amazes me there are people who think any electable Republican would be so fanatical.

What happened under the big, mean, gay-bashing, arch evangelical fundamentalist George W Bush and right-wing Republican majorities?

Nothing. There were no reeducation camps, DOMA didn't magically become a constitutional amendment, DADT wasn't replaced with the previous "no service" policy.

It was all alarmist scaremongering just like "actress" Cameron Diaz employed against women with her "If you think rape should be legal" drivel on Oprah back in 2004.

It's the Democrats who radically expand the reach of government into our lives all in the name of doing it for our own good. Who are these voters who believe THEY know how to live their lives but believe YOU don't know how to live yours? THEY know how to eat but YOU don't. THEY know how to raise their kids (if they had any) but YOU don't. THEY know how to light their homes best but YOU don't.

You know they're not all voting for Democrats to "help" themselves with tighter regulation, intrusion and oversight but to "help" other people they believe are beneath them.

Even Roger Ebert concedes that almost 200 people saw The Undefeated at noon today in Chicago on short notice with no advertising. So more people went to an event that Governor Palin did not attend in one of the most liberal cities in America than the number of people who went to an event this afternoon in Iowa with Michele Bachmann in attendance.

But meanwhile, they want to use OUR tax money to turn our schools into gay recruiting centers for our little kids.

These poofs are such self-centered narcisists.
