I see you are following suite to your teachings...sworn to secrecy especially when confronted with the truth. Ok I got it.

I understand there are those who take a so called neutral position when it comes to organizations and false religions etc. But by not standing for anything one doesn’t stand for anything at all IMO.

As Christians we are called to take a stand for the faith...and that means opposing doctrines and dogmas that directly oppose Christ and His teachings. It is especially important for those organizations and false religions who attempt to use and abuse Christianity verbage, and falsely imitate they are Christian, as bait to draw their targets into their web.

The videos are taken down already? Looks like I wasn’t quick enough in sounding the warning. If so, the Masons didn’t waste time. Hope somebody out there downloaded them.

Thank you for your reply!

Getting more money never hurts...and Philip was practically digging under the sofa cushions to get more money. It was definitely a political/financial thing from the French point of view.

But I think a lot of the conflict, or the reason it was possible to convince the Pope to support the condemnation of the Templars, at least, had to do with the fact that the Templars were becoming very powerful and were increasingly independent. If you’ve ever seen their castles, you can see that they they were beginning to decide they were a force in their own right. This was true of any successful religious order, of course, but this was the only order that could be considered armed and dangerous.

Even the Franciscans (contemporaries of the Templars) had been subjected to papal scrutiny and some of their members condemned by various popes because of their unpredictable “charismatic” tendencies, which in many cases were harmless but in others were a threat not only to Christian unity but to stable life in the areas around them.

There probably were some Templars who dabbled in a kind of esotericism, judging by the art work on their buildings and what is known about the initiation rites of some (but not all) of them, and possibly some were influenced by their contact with Islam to move towards a new syncretist religion that dropped Jesus Christ or at any rate made him just a prophet and the teacher of how to live well. But from what little I know, mostly relating to Spain, this was a regional or local thing, and it is acknowledged now that the majority of the Templars were orthodox. If there were individual groups that had developed some odd ideas, it was not something encouraged or condoned by the order as a whole.

IIRC, the Church recently withdrew the condemnations of some of the Templars (including de Molay, I think) because it was obvious that their condemnations had political motivations.

I think it’s a complicated matter. Obviously, an injustice was done to these particular people. But one of the problems with any religion, Christianity included, is that there is a natural human desire to believe that it’s not all as simple as it sounds, and there absolutely must be some secret special key, known only to the elect, that will open the door to the universe. To me, that’s the definition of esotericism, and I think the pope was probably convinced, even if wrongly, that he was dealing with something like this.

That said, whenever I have been in Spain driving around and have stopped to visit a Templar castle, I have virtually always found New Age wierdos scurrying around it because they are convinced the Templars were involved in magic and strange practices. Their reputation is probably not deserved, but it exists, nonetheless, and I think that’s what attracts people like the New Agers and this horrible creature in Norway (who sounds like a classic “I’m specially enlightened” type).
