This tweet is appalling. Odious. Have you fallen down the rabbit hole so far you have forgotten Matthew 25:31-46? Here, let me quote it for you, and for readers who may not be familiar with it:
From the New International Version:
31 When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
37 Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?
40 The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
41 Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.
44 They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?
45 He will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.
46 Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
Let me play devil’s advocate as to what the response may be. Do you think all of Christ’s commandments are personal? Should no area of government policy be influenced by Christian morals, etc?
I couldn't agree more, but you know what they say about blind mammals and acorns... :-)
Why would these things be contradictory?
I would be happy to teach you how to grow tomatoes, but I am not giving any away...
Sure there should be influence a man who says his faith does not affect his decisions on matters of govt is either a liar or a non believer. The problem is when we build govt structures to turn charity into taxes and gratitude into entitlement we are twisting the whole idea behind the admonition to charity from something that is beneficial to the soul of the individual to something of indifference or in the case of taxes and entitlement sources of bitterness and envy. So the neither the man who is forced to give or the man who receives that which is given gets the true benefit of the exchange. The man from whom his wealth or property is taken without his free consent often before he even has a chance to see it is more likely to be resentful or feel absolutely nothing while the man who receives does not get to experience the gratitude and if he does it becomes directed at a middle man who spent not one hour earning the money he is handing it.
What happens is a process that normally would bring men to together becomes one that drives men even further apart into their respective classes and their souls receive none of the benefit that comes from interacting directly with their fellow man giving of themselves freely counteracting what is often mans natural self centered nature and helping the down trodden feel a sense of inclusion and gratitude towards someone who helped them who did not have to.
This is why Jesus nor God never said lift up Caesar so that you can do as you will while Caesar carries out God’s will on your behalf.
The Bible was referring to God’s people, not government. If a hungry person comes to you, God wants the CHURCH to feed them, not point the way to the food stamp office. Taxes are just theft. If taxes got you to heaven, then only the rich would go.
WOW!! That’s the first thing I’ve liked that Rick has said in years!!!!!!<P.Hey lefty bloodsuckers....the TRUTH HURTS!
Aside from Warren supporting Godless Liberals,
Why would ANY Christian pay attention to Warren,
after his reaching out to his Muslim “brothers?”
Franklin Graham understands Islam !
...Islam IS the religion of Satan.
The Quran itself, gives permission to beat your wife, to have sex with 9 year old children, to kill ALL Jews, to “terrorize” unbelievers, and much much more !!!
The Quran does not recognize ANY other religion as being legitimate. (”People of the Book” going to Heaven, applies only to people BEFORE Muhammad!)
Jesus in the Quran is neither the only-begotten Son of God nor the Messiah who was divinely appointed to restore the House of David. He is rather viewed as a prophet who was appointed by Allah to prepare mankind for the coming of Mohammad.
Quote of the Day: Before we shake your hand in responding to your letter, we ask forgiveness of the All-Merciful One and of the Muslim community around the world. Rick Warren in a speech to Muslims.
This weekend, the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston along with Christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit will initiate a series of sermons that have been designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam. In addition to the sermons, the Sunday school lessons will center on the inspired teachings of the Prophet Mohammad. Qurans will be placed in the pews next to the Bibles.
(NOTE: Due to the overwhelming response that this article has generated, the Pastor of Memorial Church has issued a semi-denial of the events we reported. They do not, however, deny supporting and teaching a doctrine called Jesus in the Koran. Click here to read their semi-denial. So until other information is made available to NTEB, we will run the story as is, along with their side, and you the reader can decide whats going on. But people, ask yourself
would any real, bible believing church try and teach its members about Jesus in the Koran? Thats blasphemy.)

Agreeing with Warren’s ‘tweet’ does NOT translate to support for Warren overall...not by a long shot.
Whose morality shall the government adopt? The real teachings of Jesus, or the false teachings of secular humanism which attempts to hijack Christ’s teaching for its own political ends?
For instance, Jesus advised his followers to give their alms in secret and seek no reward. Such secrecy would also protect the giver from prying eyes, allowing God alone to judge the value of the sacrifice.
Yet secular humanism holds that it adherents may be judgemental in determining the level of “giving” required of a certain income group, and enable it’s “moral” government to enforce that level of “giving” with the threat of prosecution of those who object.
Which “morality” would you choose?
Our church feeds hundred's of family's every week.
Need a car we will give you one.
Need a place to live we will find you one.
Rick drives a 11 year old Ford and has lived in the same tract house for over 20 years.
He gives away 90% of his income and is not paid to lead Saddleback Church. How much of your income do you give away? You use Geoffrey Grider as a source of info. I guess you are also into Alex Jones? How about Kingdom Identity Ministries?
That is one verse liberals don’t like to hear. Very few conservative’s know it. Its a great verse to tell someone that thinks compassion is helping the lazy..
Jesus: Give your money to the poor.
Libs: Give your neighbors’ money to the poor.
