Bachmann is the only one with skin in the game and the only one who comes out on top on this whole debt ceiling thing. By holding firm and voting NO on everything she can claim the high ground, criticize everything that happens and in my estimation will get a huge bump in the polls after this debacle passes.

For what it's worth, straw polls are generally worthless. If you don't believe me look at how many straw polls Paul and Romney won in 2007-08 compared to how many McCain won. The only exception to that rule is Ames
which offers some insight into the outcome of the Iowa caucuses (the top 2 finishers are usually correct, though not necessarily in the correct order). And outside of its possible relevance to the caucuses, even the Ames straw poll doesn't offer much in the way of insight.
