Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (Mich.), a Republican presidential candidate, called Saturday morning for Republicans and the Tea Party to stop fighting and work together to help save the country, presumably from Democratic policies, although he was not specific.

“On the right, take note,” McCotter said on the House floor. “It is as unwarranted and injurious for a Republican to call a Tea Partier a hobbit as it is for a Tea Partier to call a Republican a RINO.”

I love all these Dems and Reps who are bashing the Tea Party lawmakers. I heard one this morning say this morning that we’ve seen that TEA PARTY people can’t govern.
EXCUSE ME? We are not in the position we are in because of the TEA PARTY. Years of REpublican compromising and legislating has gotten here. HOW DARE THEY blame the tea party. Oh my blood is boiling.

They may as well make the hard choices now, because no member of Congress who has been there more than 6 months will be reelected.

McCotter did not (just) criticize hobbits. He also criticized rinos - standing in between like you would to break up a fight.

If we must gratuitously McCotter - bash, can we at least be intellectually honest about it?
