If you really agree with Krugman you too have a good chance of drowning in your own toilet. Sorry, but that's the way it is!

Not true. Thanks to people like Paul Krugman and myself, we've virtually eliminated toilet related drownings due to our heroic efforts which brought the world safe, low-gallon toilets.

You're welcome.

We are NOT a democratic republic either; China is a “democratic republic”.

We are a constitutional republic and our founding fathers wisely left democratic out of the defining terms.

We are not supposed to be a democracy of any kind, period.

Paul Krugman calls for dictatorship

I think a call to arms is in order.

To borrow one of Glenn Close’s lines in Dangerous Liaisons: “Like most intellectuals, he’s intensely stupid.”

>>> What, you are surprised? Krugman is a full-on Communist, and they always require a dictatorship to implement their goals. <<<

It would be nice if conservative media would say the same, and come down on Krugman like a ton of bricks, and on CNN for trotting him out as if he were some esteemed wizard when he is instead a full blown communist.

NO CONSERVATIVE PRESIDENT could logically act to suppress state and local unions,

Sure she could. Calling for the repeal of Davis-Bacon would be an excellent start.

That still doesn't get rid of the unions.

BTW, Davis-Bacon keeps CERTAIN COMPANIES IN CHARGE in certain areas. It keeps outsiders out.

That's probably why it's survived.

My regards. You’re a brave soul. Now, could you get a crush-Krugman-campaign going. En masse, and loud, and consant, and everywhere, and SOON, until he moves to Syria?
:D)

Government workers have no need to be unionized.....PERIOD, end of story. As a matter of fact I’ll take it one step further...ALL unions should be as illegal as monopolizing and price fixing is....because that is exactly what they do...in addition to supporting the COMMUNISTS.

That’s probably the only upside to this deal. The libs wanted increased spending and radical tax hikes. So far out in lala land that anything approaching reality would be disaster to them.

So at least we got that out of the crap sandwich we just got served.

Obviously you've never worked for the government. ALL government employees need to be unionized because they have to work for GOVERNMENT SUPPLIED SUPERVISORS.

That's the source of your problem ~ and if you don't understand it you'd better buckle down and examine the literature on the problem.

The problem is government itself ~ which is why we all want to keep it small, and hopefully under some degree of control, and that includes LOCAL, STATE and other sorts of government ~ not just the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Got some folks out there who think the sheriff should be in charge of stuff?

I say keep the sheriff in a cage ~ have people come and ask him questions if they want, but don't turn him loose. He's just government under a different name.

Really? Unless you work for the Government?

21 Years in the USMC and a Government contractor for the last 10....does that qualify and “working for the Government”?

See, you have your premise all wrong...I do WORK for the government...and I was never a UNION thug....It’s only those who are EMPLOYED by the government that need a UNOIN to get by...and hide their lazy asses behind...You would know any of those types now would you?

Unions need to be made illegal.....don’t like it then find another vocation....one you will actually have to PRODUCE for.

They get that way because they're supervisors treat them like they are property ~ kind of the same problem that happens with a contractor ~ he thinks he owns your job so he treats you like property.

It's a dreadful problem.

BTW, YOU DON'T OWN ANYBODY.

I can make sure it's less a dreadful problem...get rid of most government jobs and then we wouldn't need either government supervisors or government employee unions.....

Problem solved....
