“So remember the Coffee Party – the liberal, media-generated answer to the Tea Party? CNN covered it, so did the New York Times.”

So did Air America. They loved it. Thought it would be as successful as they were.

I dunno, I kinda like the notion of turning 60s era protest rock right back on ‘em: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8zmkzshUvE

Call out the instigators
Because there’s something in the air
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here, and you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right

OMG, I admit it.

I once had every 8-track Yes album ever made. A couple of ELP albums too.

Gutfeld found the perfect metaphor for this one thru a flashback to my stupid and naive years.

I don't think I'm naive anymore. :)

When British media starts blaming US and global economic crisis on the Tea Party you know they are feared.

On the other hand, the fact that the global media is in sync attacking grandpa Murdoch and simple Tea Party folks, blows my minds. This global spin machine was likely paid for with our hard earned Tarp money. George Orwell was a prophet.

Bad analogy. Hardly captures the widespread dissatisfaction with politics as usual. Anyone who tries to pigeonhole the Tea Party today will come up short.

“Now… I got issues with this deal.

Some people worry over Defense cuts. I’m one of them. That stuff matters. But that debate reminds you of one key truth: The left prefers to increase dependence through expansion of entitlements. The rest of us see independence through strength.

A howitzer over handouts.

Lastly, one sad fact: the government will still grow 70 percent over the next decade. And there may be new taxes as soon as 2013.

So this budget debate’s a lot like using Febreze.

Masking the stench doesn’t erase the pile of crap at your feet.

And if you disagree with me you’re a racist homophobe.”

It’s the first thing out of Hollyweird in as long as I can remember that makes sense.
I remember a teacher’s bumper sticker: “When the Air Force Has To Have a Bake Sale To Buy a Bomber (give teachers more $$$ blah blah blah) and this guy seems to get it: next time you’re running 30 seconds ahead of dust cloud from a building bombed by those who have no love for us—call your local PTA.
And: you don’t get stronger by going deeper into debt. If a `Hollyweirdo’ gets it then it must be sinking in with a lot of others. The tea party is nothing more than those of us who can tell bulls*** from Kiwi shoe polish and a lot of people are thinking about it and concluding, “I agree with them.”

Punk Rock did great and even became mainstream and survives to this day. It had great influences and made billions for the artists. I’m a heavy metal guy myself but I would gladly take being called a Punker as a compliment.

Two years ago the MSM was trying to paint us as insignificant sore losers. Now they portray us as 800 pound gorillas on a rampage.

a group of shiny, happy people who didn’t see the train heading their way.

Oingo Boingo - Capitalism

There's nothing wrong with Capitalism There's nothing wrong with free enterprise Don't try to make me feel guilty I'm so tired of hearing you cry

There's nothing wrong with making some profit If you ask me I'll say it's just fine There's nothing wrong with wanting to live nice I'm so tired of hearing you whine About the revolution Bringin' down the rich When was the last time you dug a ditch, baby!

If it ain't one thing Then it's the other Any cause that crosses your path Your heart bleeds for anyone's brother I've got to tell you you're a pain in the ass

You criticize with plenty of vigor You rationalize everything that you do With catchy phrases and heavy quotations And everybody is crazy but you

You're just a middle class, socialist brat From a suburban family and you never really had to work And you tell me that we've got to get back To the struggling masses (whoever they are) You talk, talk, talk about suffering and pain Your mouth is bigger than your entire brain What the hell do you know about suffering and pain . . .

(Repeat first verse)

(Repeat chorus)

There's nothing wrong with Capitalism There's nothing wrong with Capitalism There's nothing wrong with Capitalism There's nothing wrong with Capitalism
