The Tea Party congress critters were dedicated to an ideal—smaller Government—they were filled with a zeal for a cause. their foes were just thinking of their jobs and next election. Dedicated people win over ones who are not dedicated to an ideal.
I agree, they won with the law they passed, but I think they are afraid they lost the PR battle on the issue with the voters. How else could you explain the anti-climactic Senate vote Monday and avoiding a signing ceremony?
Yeah, you’ve hit on how they are playing it.
Yes, and the sky is blue and water is wet. So? WHAT does your comment have to do with this article? Forgive my slow brain, but it looks like nothing more than an irrelevant drive-by spewing. Dr. Krauthammer may not be as conservative as you or I, but he's certainly no liberal who hates Christians' doing stuff. And I certainly don't think the Obamunists and their sycophants are acting in any way Christian. So clue us in, why don't you?
Krauthammer is not a Palin fan. He could say that the sky is blue and he would be taken to task here.
Most of the Tea Party have accomplished far more in life than fake conservative Krauthammer. He’s been auditioning for years to be the next David Brooks or Kevin Phillips...a phony Republican dragged out to bash the GOP and conservatives by the MSM. Or perhaps he’s looking to become Obama’s next press secretary.
What’s sad is that he gets a free pass because of his physical condition. Then again, maybe he’s taking medication that would explain the utter drivel that comes out of his mouth these days.
As for his “intelligence,” many Tea Party members have accomplished far more in life than being talking head Quislings.
I just don't see them getting away with blaming "Tea Party Cuts," when it's going to be clear to everyone that nothing was cut.
Hate to give them advice, but if they had been clever, they would have passed CCB, had Obama close the DoE and DoEd and THEN whine. I think they would have won that.
Truth be known, Krauthamer himself has been denigrating the Tea Party people in the past.
The Washington Establishment, which includes purported “conservatives” like Krauthammer and O’Reilly (not!) really don’t have much regard for the intelligence, values, and ideals of the rest of the average Americans out there in the hinterlands. They are not part of that insider-club that rules the roost back in Washington.
I figured that out eventually, title is easy to misconstrue since “Tea Party Attackers” can mean either attackers from or attackers of the Tea Party.
LoL, you are right.
Sounds like a valid prediction, I took some notes, copied the link to this thread and added it to my July 4, 2012 calendar. This debt ceiling issue is going to cost republicans dearly in the next elections - deservedly so.
And Liberal Christians hate it when Jewish people (especially Israelis) do anything, too.
In fact, Liberal Buddhists hate it when Jewish and Christian people do anything.
Serioulsy, buy a clue. Or sober up.
Interesting ping. I have only known a few liberal Jews. I never sensed hatred from them [I am a Christian] but I distinctly got the impression of condescension. I don’t think I was reading something that wasn’t there; it felt pretty palpable, kind of like wiser, more enlightened people looking down on the deluded, fwiw.
Of course there are haters in every group, sad to say. If you want to see a group-wide hatred of Christians, though, look no further than your nearest mosque. Now there is some Christian-hating in all its raw, vile ugliness.
“I dont think these people have the wherewithal to orchestrate a three-car motorcade. The reason for the repetition is lack of intelligence and lack of originality. These are people who are slothful. “
ROFL!!!
I think Krauthammer is Jewish. Not all liberals are Jewish. I really don’t understand your statement at all. Or what it has to do with this article. The WH and the left dems are anything but, pro-Jewish, pro-Israel, by the way. Very much anti-Semitic IMHO.
Sorry, I didn’t read the article or pay any attention to the title. I simply assumed that Krauthammer was, once again, jumping on those who oppose the Beltway establishment. I was wrong about that — see #26.
You got that.
Thanks for your comments. Good points. BTW, I admire how well you write.
Krauthammer is an intellect and analyst to be admired. However, his intellect is subjugated to his position as a Washington elite pundit.
The concept of a movement demanding and organizing and voting to restore the rule of a constitutional government that follows the rule of The Constitution is a concept that is totally foreign to him.
Krauthammer's dogma is first and foremost that the ruling elite in Washington are superior and more intelligent than the founding fathers, The Constitution, and the public. The ruling elite value their power and will opt prestige and power to themselves before opting to the rule of law.
Krauthammer is a man of extreme intellect and knowledge. Because of this fact, I find him a pathetic empty shell that reflects his desire to be part of the ruling elite more important than honest political analysis.
PS I spent several paragraphs of analysis on Krauthammer. I could have summed it up in the parlance of New Orleans, which is as follows, "a twenty dollar hooker that does not even know she (or he) is a hooker."
You have assumed a fact not in evidence. I never replied to this thread. Dr. K is welcome to his opinion.
Thank you...blush blush.
