Does anyone have an updsate on whether or not Barack Obama had ordered the Flag to be flown at half-staff at the White House in honor of the death of the Navy Seals in Afghanistan?

I pity anyone serving in the military these days. Oh, they’re wo/man enough to see it through - but it must be incredibly demoralizing.
I believe that the last time the White House flag was ordered lowered to half staff was when Obama pulled a double bogey on the seventeenth hole of the links at Martha’s Vineyard - but that was about a year ago.
All I heard was that Obama stopped at the casket of each one and said a prayer. It made me so ill I couldn’t think for a minute or so. This man is disgusting.

I see your point but as the President is the ‘CnC’ it’s a matter of military protocol unless I’m mistaken. This one does it for the photo op I’m sure and probably has to be reminded every time. At least GWB, GHWB, Reagan and God help us-fair is fair, even Jimmy Carter had military backgrounds so for them it was natural.
On another thread a Freeper posted a link to George Bushes honoring our troops at such a time. The contrast is amazing.... Bush loved and honored our troops....from the heart. Rather than looking for the best photo op of himself saluting and role playing Presidential to slip past the ban on media photographers as Obama did.... Disgusting the means he will go to paint the picture of himself he wants to see.
The families did not want any photos taken and the media wasn’t allowed there....but as we see Obama could not resist another photo op of himself.

Obama only does what’s good for Obama. When I saw this I honestly got sick.
Bush did love our troops and showed it at every turn. This lowlife scumbag uses them as props. I love our military dearly and hug everyone I see and tell them thank you. God love them.

Oslama ordered it in honor of the Taliban insurgents responsible for the downing of the Chinook helicopter who were killed today by an F-16 airstrike.
