The questioner, who identified himself afterward as Joe Fagan of Des Moines, was one of a group of liberals who positioned themselves in front of the stage and interrupted Romney as he tried to answer questions.

From the accounts I’ve read, the non-incident didn’t even rise to the level of heckling. It was more like a quick question-and-answer thingy. But since the media probably transported the so-called “heckler” to the event, the story was a given.

Lefties are attacking Mitt? Well, that cinches it:

Mitt for Palin's cabinet in 2012.

There has been a push “from both sides of the aisle” to paint Romney as a perceived threat to the left; the only one they truly fear. It seems to me to be a simulated Br’er Rabbit campaign. The Romney camp just doesn’t understand that it really does not matter what their candidate does or does not do. He is not a sale. He peaked in ‘08.

Same people who said, "KILL ROMNEY??"

I don't want him to be President, but I hope he has good security. I don't want him dead either.

Then she was right.

I’m no Romney supporter, but I really do hate Iowa. I hate the smugness of thinking they deserve to have the first say in every presidential election. I hate their stupid corn subsidies. I hate their stupid fairs. I hate their stupid straw polls.

But most of all, I hate their stupid caucus. And I have no respect for any candidate that participates in this charade.

If I were running for president, I would tell Iowa to piss off. Respectfully, of course.

(I realize that there are many good, patriotic Iowans, but they should be the first one trying to undo this stupid, undemocratic caucus system that gave us Barack Obama).

.....I hate their stupid corn subsidies. I hate their stupid fairs. I hate their stupid straw polls....

I agree with you and would include I hate their perpetual spring/summer floods, Senator Tom Harkin (one of the stupidest senators of all time) and what the hell the Hawkeyes.

Combating hecklers is the easiest thing in the world. Just tell them that they are the dumbest person you have spoken to all day long then go to the next known supporter.

He handled it very well.

I fear that Obama will get reelected. We have no Reagan, and many won't settle for a glass half full. They would rather we get another 4 years of King Baraq.

It would not surprise me.

the candidates will have to hire or enlist their own supporters to be there in front and to verbally battle these leftists....

Another saying to combat a heckler,”you’re just too dumb for me to engage in a conversation with you”.

he did fine.....Hannity had the whole episode on....

look....lets not put a dagger into every candidate....we may not like Romney but he is a pub, and he has a good chance of becoming the presidential candidate...

I like Cain,Bachman,Marco,Christie,Rudy,Santorum,Palin, etc....I'll support whoever gets the nod....

I was thinking the same thing. If he can’t handle a heckler, professional or not, he can’t handle being president.

Looked like a pretty good back and forth. The 23 yr old might want to dial it back a little. He came off as obnoxious when he didn’t have to be.

Heard the full exchange a little bit ago. Romney handled it pretty well.

No surprise the vile, despicable Debbie Wasserman-Schultz quickly released a statement attacking Romney for wanting to dismantle entitlements and protect the rich and corporations.

I'm sure there was no coordination. /s

When I read your post I thought I'd already posted. GMTA.

Obama is not all that Iowa has blessed us with.

I am not a romney fan either.
i wish he would just get out because he will inflict damage along the way. damage that the MSM won’t overlook as they would with a democrat.

You all can expect this election to be so far out there with hecklers that it won’t even be news worthy after a while but common place. Obama will have his organized union thugs out there at every meeting to heckle his opposition. They will be tireless and the first ones in the door.

I suggest that you all look at what he did for his cousin Odinga in Kenya. because when he loses he will try like heck to start race riots here.

It is already starting. Look at the Wisconsin State fair last week.
It WILL happen .. it is all he knows. It is what a “community organizer” (AKA - Union Agitator) does.
