Why does anyone give a flying F about Rudy? He’s not running, he’s not going to run, there is NO clamor for his candidacy whatsoever.

He’s very seriously looking at running. John Bolton is considering it as well.

I wondered the same thing. What the heck does Rudy have to do with the 2012 election? Just throwing his name into this poll casts a pall of suspicion on the whole project. He's completely irrelevant.

He shouldn’t even be listed. In fact only candidates should be listed. The only poll that matters is the one on election day, and if you are not a candidate you cannot win. Pretty simple really.

GOP Favorability Survey Giuliani,Palin,Romney enjoy broadest popularity

Rudy is popular with New Yorkers and those who appropriately admire his handling of the 9/11 attacks, and there are a lot of them, not that it matters since he is not running.

Sarah is popular with patriotic Americans, particularly Tea Party Americans who care about our children having a functional country that is not bankrupt, and there are a lot of them.

Mitt is popular with RINOs and with Dems who want to mess with our primary, and there are a lot of them.

The real question: Are there enough decent Americans who will vote in 2012 that we can choose our own nominee, or will the far left choose who runs against their "messiah" again?

And neither has even the slightest chance in hell of winning the nomination.

There is no room in the race for Giuliani, Romney already dominates the RINO/moderate wing of the party. It's why Huntsman can't get any traction.

And Bolton says all the things on foreign policy, but he looks like a walrus and the election is likely going to focus almost entirely on the economy which is not his area of strength.

Would Guiliani take votes from Romney?

Would Guiliani take votes from Romney?

Sure, he'd siphon some off. And in the interest of making sure Romney doesn't win the nomination that could be good. He might even split the RINO/moderate vote with Romney, but there is still not path to victory for him. Giuliani is remembered fondly for his response to 9-11 and that would buy him a warm reception, but at the end of the day he is pro-abortion (and pro-gay marriage I believe), and those positions are simply unacceptable to the bulk of Republican primary voters.

My vote is already ‘positively’ accounted for but I’d vote for Rudy before these clowns ....Mitt Romney Newt Gingrich Tim Pawlenty Herman Cain Rick Santorum Jon Huntsman John Bolton.

What the h*ll have they ever done for our country to be serious about running?

Ratings of 2012 Contenders Steady in July: Giuliani, Palin & Romney enjoy broadest popularity ............................................... Damn it! When is the Fat lady going to sing? Enough already. I am so totally confused with all these surveys and polls. I don’t know what to believe. I’m still going with Palin even though I’m flexible.

Right, to the country he is remembered like that but not to those who ever lived/worked/visited NY. He's remembered for doing the impossible in restoring it.

I don't know one person even considering Romney - it is very clear he's the GOP 'your turn' good old worthless piece of sh*! boy who the media is working to push, also. I hope he gets heckled at every event his hair and empty suit shows up in.

Yeah, I'll give you that. Don't get me wrong, I like Giuliani and know he's done some amazing things. I'd certainly vote for him over Hussein. The problem is I can't vote to nominate a pro-abortion candidate for President. If he somehow won the nomination and my choice was Giuliani or Hussein, he'd get my vote, but I do have a choice in the primaries and there is no chance Giuliani would be it. I am fairly certain the vast majority of Republican primary voters are of the same mind when it comes to this issue.
