Because she actually has executive experience running or living in a border state?
I’m sure she’s a fine woman but, let’s not get carried away.

Maybe some of these candidates should take a page from President Eisenhower’s playbook. Of course that is, if they’re not part of the group(s) that profit from exploiting illegals.

30 million illegals in America are enough to fully populate more than 50 congressional districts. Add their numbers to legal democrats and consider how many more seats the democrats will own in a decade.
The fact is that the GOP is doomed to extinction within 20 years if something isn’t done right now.

This from an organization that promotes common-sense immigration policy: Actually, that's from Numbers USA which promotes the approach to not only eliminate illegal immigration but also eliminate all legal immigration as well. They are more of the extreme, hard line measurement- which is why you find them failing a lot of good Conservatives. While they have mellowed out a lot lately, and they are a good resource for the illegal immigration piece, it is important to understand their history. One of their founders was Algore's buddy whose purpose on ending immigration was environmental. You can still find papers on their website promoting eliminating all immigration and even promoting abortion as a population control method to 'save the environment. For example, this.. and this

This is an issue Bachmann has always been clear and has led on. Steve King is also good on this issue.
Hard to top her on this issue. If they beat around the bush and hawk that pathway baloney, it means they are weak on this issue.

Michele is the best by far on this issue.
Most of the others are in the dismal-to-pathetic range.

Sarah Palin “was” against amnesty but for the “path” but she had been influenced by the McCain staff.
Actually, she hasn't really given a recent opinion—in fact, being an Alaskan there wasn't much of a problem with it except for a few rascally Canucks sneaking in from the Canadian Yukon.
Need to hear what she says about it now.

"We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, "We dont care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there." And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers. Thats why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate. Those young minds are a part of a new generation of leaders[;] the doors of higher education must be open to them. The message is simple: educacion es el futuro, y si se puede [education is the future, and yes, we can]."

Only true if you join Faux News is keeping
Thad McCotter out the race.
I like Bachmann and have donated to her, but am fed up with conservatives ignoring a candidate becuase Fox wants to choose our president.

Great post! Michelle Bachmann stands out alone in the current field of GOP presidential wannabes as a voice for a lawful, orderly, and sensible immigration and naturalization process!
Because of this, she should make the issue more of a focus in her campaign.

Voting for anything less is a vote for a permanent democrat majority.
30 million illegals in America is equal to the population of more than 50 congressional districts. Their numbers alone change our political landscape and if they vote, its even worse. If those 30 million were gone, we would eliminate an unknown number of democrat house seats.
