Democratic members of the Congressional Black Caucus are in Miami Tuesday to host a jobs fair, part of their five-city tour to draw attention to high unemployment, particularly in the black community.
But at a town-hall style meeting the members held Monday night, some of the most heated talk centered not on jobs but on the tea party.
"The real enemy is the tea party - let's remember that," said Rep. Frederica Wilson of Miami Gardens, host of the meeting and jobs fair. "The tea party holds Congress hostage
They have one goal in mind, and that's to make President Obama a one-term president."

“This is beginning to sound like an orchestrated declaration of war on ordinary Americans...”
More precisely, conservative Americans who are horrified at how far we’ve sunk after decades of “progressive” policies, and are now motivated to correct our country’s course to something the founders might actually recognize.
If that makes us “the enemy”, then this is a declaration of war upon us, our ideals, and everything we hold dear.
They STILL do not understand that the “tea party” has no leaders, no orchestrated events, nor any platform. It’s comprised of concerned Americans from all walks of life who are now motivated to recover what we’ve lost, and are only joined by our mutual sense of purpose and a growing frustration with “business as usual.”
And ever growing anger.

Maxine Waters said the (old White) Tea Party (people) can go straight to hell.
Waters and other Black democrats have been saying all along the Tea Party are just a bunch of old White people. Now we know how she and they really feel about old White people, they can just go straight to hell.

There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs, partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.

Too late, blacks are already joining the Tea Party.

They have one goal in mind, and that's to make President Obama a one-term president."Well, I'll be dipped! As far as the TEA party folks I hang with, this is completely correct, although most of us would like to see him quit/resign/be impeached even sooner.

We are the enemy because we want them to get a job and some self respect? No, because we want all the followers of the professional race-baiters to get themselves off the Gubmint Plantation. Just because the chains seem prettier doesn't mean they don't bind.

If they wish to talk about jobs, perhaps African-Americans should ask why the Dems support illegal immigration which has negatively affected blacks in the job market.
Blacks are upset at the illegals yet continue to back the Dems.

They are REALLY trying to build themselves a boogey-man for the next election.
Race-baiting Democrats can ALWAYS depend on the crypto-massa boogeyman angle to be lapped up by the "black community" in the run-up to any election. It is their most well-worn canard. Socially and economically self-defeating or not, Democrats really don't care as it serves their purpose of staying power. Think pimp assuring the girls how much he loves them and will always protect them.

True enough. That was by no means intended to be a comprehensive list. It does walk hand in hand with fiscal responsibility, however.

They are REALLY trying to build themselves a boogey-man for the next election. Yes, since they can't run against GWB like they have been for the last 8 to 10 years...
