Union Leader needs to get its head out of its ass...another column in the SAME paper says Romney is speaking at a TP rally Sunday evening in Concord; heading up a pancake breakfast in Derry/Manchester the following morning before leaving for South Carolina to join up with Jim DeMint later on Labor Day.
WTF, Union Leader?

Union Leader has been behind the curve ever since the Loebs passed away...they even contradict themselves. :-)

I think whether or not she's "blocking" for Perry will be settled science after her speech Saturday in Indianola, IA. She felt he was a good pick for Texas Governor (from within the available field at the time), and said so. President is a whole other kettle of fish. I don't believe she feels he's presidential material. We'll sure find out soon enough.

I expect her to announce on Saturday. This is my own personal opinion, arrived at absent any insider info, and I could be wrong. Highly unlikely, but within the realm of possibility.

Iowa will be laying out her vision for America. In doing so I think she is going to cut Perry off at the knees Saturday without ever mentioning his name..
To: Gargantua
She's flying all the way from Iowa to New Hampshire just to 'give a brief hello to the Tea Party crowd' on Monday?
That seems to contradict her record of fiscal responsibility...there's something going on here...

Infrastructure in place. Time to start cashing in on some of her 2010 political capital.
To: Gargantua
"Presidential material?" that's funny. He's got 6 times the executive experience running a state than she does and his state is around 40 times the size population wise. I doubt she thinks that.
However it is weird that Perry is stumping down in Florida while Palin decides to bird dog Mitt in NH. Either she's blocking or she thinks her best shot is frustrating Mitt into quitting or pulling him into single digits.
If she can do that it would go a long way to making it a Perry/Palin race instead of a Perry/Palin/Mitt race.

I’m for Palin but I wouldn’t gag pulling the Perry lever. That said, I think it comes down to Palin v Perry which sucks the oxygen out for Romeny and everyone else. Not a bad result.

Perry will never win the GOP nomination. Between his Immigration policies and his having written that curriculum for teaching Islam to Texas schoolkids with the Agha Khan, his “rising star” will be exceedingly short-lived. More of a “shooting-star” within a month. By October, Palin will be the walkaway frontrunner and Perry will be a bad taste in the GOP’s memory.

Or maybe she'll steal all of Mitt's New Hampshire voters and take first in the NH primary, changing the dynamics of the GOP primary race.
Cheers!

Mitt’s practically a favorite son. That he’s not even breaking forty percent up there is just absurd.

Palin bashers not here tonight. Guess they are waiting for their talking points from campaign central...

Hey, we’re only an hour from Manchester! Could we just show up, or do we need tickets? We saw Sarah when the Tea Party Express came to Boston a couple of years ago. It was fun!

In 2008, it was Huckabee who kept Romehy on the ropes, unable to overtake McCain’s lead.
Perhaps Palin can do the same in favor or Perry.

That’s why we will be there.
She is more of a uniter than Perry. He has merit, but Sarah is definitely not “blocking” for him.

It would be great for that to happen. How do you envision this information getting out to the general public? It seems the MSM would push Perry in the hopes of keeping Palin out.

However it is weird that Perry is stumping down in Florida while Palin decides to bird dog Mitt in NH. Either she's blocking or she thinks her best shot is frustrating Mitt into quitting or pulling him into single digits. Or Perry is preaching to the Deep South Good ole boy constituency where it's safe, rather than face his opponents in New England, away from his home turf, which would take actual courage.
Where were Mitt and Perry when Sarah was being savaged from all sides in the national press?
Hiding under the bed sucking their thumbs, hoping that the big bad MEANIES in the press didn't notice them.
Breitbart was right in The Undefeated.
Cheers!

They're changing their diapers.
Perry strikes me as a typical bully: loud, brash, arrogant, and swaggering, until he comes up against REAL opposition.
Then he quickly goes into "Hey, we've always been best buds" mode.
I'd have more respect for him if he had stood up for Sarah while she was being attacked from all sides in the press.
Cheers!
