Next month President Obama will give a speech that is expected to detail his plan for avoiding a double-dip recession. Details remain uncertain. But conservative columnist Ann Coulter says solving the jobs component of America’s economic problem could have an easy fix.

On Tuesday’s “The Kudlow Report” on CNBC, the author of “Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America” made her not-so-likely-to-happen recommendations.

Sounds like a plan to me! (As long as I don't have to pay for unemployment insurance)

I wouldn’t ban unemployment altogether but I would make it a choice for employers and employees to make.

Not enough. Roll back 20 years of Federal and state regulations, especially California. Scale back federal entitlements and government pensions to be actuarially supportable. And drill, baby, drill.

What you say may be true, but does it make what she says wrong, or are you simply arguing ad hominem? Do you disagree with her proposal, and why? I agree with her myself.

Throw in “Abolish the Dept of Energy, Decimate the EPA, Downsize OSHA, and Make every state a Right to work state” and you have yourself a deal.

Too much common sense to ever be taken seriously by the District of Corruption.

Pray for America

The business community is hunkered down due to pernicious regulations and agencies threatening them. Add to that the swarm of trial lawyers ready to sue anything that moves, and you’ve got an environment not conducive to hiring.

This demonstrates nicely why the economy is in the shap it is in. What she proposes is one of the few lists of action that, if done a while ago, would have saved us the current collective pain and, if done now, would stop the hemmoraging.

But there is no way on God’s green earth that the people of this country would elect a person proposing such things. And that is why, ultimately, us voters are responsible for the mess we’re in. It’s what you get when you “vote your wallet”.

OSHA is an often overlooked taxpayer leech. My congressman has targeted them for regulatory rollbacks to rational levels.

If I wanted to legally repair small engines in my garage and legally hire some help, I’m looking at somewhere between 5 and 10 thousand dollars in safety improvements. Plus the stupid crap like I can’t allow my dog anywhere near an employee or customer.

American’s continue to scream for low priced goods and high wage jobs. You cannot have both. Low priced goods come from from low wage jobs.

—detail his plan for avoiding a double-dip recession—

There is only one reason they would keep saying that: Every time you say “avoid a double dip”, an angel gets its wings.

I agree with it, but nothing short of an armed revolution will bring it about.

She comes from an upper-middle-class northeastern family, though her mother was from Kentucky.

She has money because she was smart enough to get into a good law school. Her early writings were compelling enough to get her column syndicated by popular demand. She sells zillions of books because people want to buy them. She sells out lecture halls across the country because people want to hear her speak.

Hardly an heiress or a dilettante — rather the epitome of American free market success. She has succeeded wildly by her wits. She’s the female Rush Limbaugh. Who, by the way, also comes from the upper-middle-class.

Or is he also an heiress and a dilettante?

It should be private, so that congress can’t game it ... we should have to pay a private company that would ensure that we are actually eligible for the payouts and would be in the business to make money not loose it to freeloaders.

I just get a kick out of the fact that people who criticize her don’t say “No, you were wrong, and here is how it should be” and then prove it. Nope, they just throw out insults and then run away, just like the drive-by media.
