After all was said and done, there was a much improved response from FEMA both before and after this latest storm.
FEMA was a mess before Katrina- Bush fixed it after it that disaster.
Not one word of thanks from anyone about that?
Obambi has left FEMA essentialy 100% unchanged since he took over- so ALL the praise should go to Bush

I don’t know who jerked your chain, but XRdsRev is correct on the rules for requesting FEMA support. LA Guv Blanco was an extreme leftist partisan who was scared Bush might take over LA, so stupidly refused to ask for help until it was too late. Mayor Nagin was an incompetent blowhard who didn’t have a f###ing clue, and demanded Greyhound send buses while he allowed hundreds of school buses to sit idle and drown. NOLA residents sat on their fat arses in a hole in the ground that was flooding while waiting for someone else to “pull their bacon out of the fire”. NOLA welfare folks have proven to be a blight on everyone attempting to help them. Bush should have told the entire bunch to shove it and let the place disappear under the waves!!

I could care less about FEMA, under Clinton it was expanded way beyond it’s initial guidelines and now it’s expected everywhere except it’s now out of money.
You can avoid wasting your time as well.
