There’s a great article in the Weekend Wall Street Journal that reviews a new book out about “Joe Hill” - the rallying song for union lovers about a guy who was executed because of his union beliefs - NOT!
We boomers would remember this song as it was sung by that “head protestor”, Joan Baez, at Woodstock in 1968 - a favorite impression that I do after a few drinks!
Bottom line: Joe Hill was a criminal who killed a convenience store owner and was tried, convicted and executed in Utah - and he was Swedish!
oh my, some real language in there, totally show the true colors.
