Texas Governor Rick Perry provided a glimpse of the kind of president he might be when he skipped the chance to participate in a nationally televised political forum to do his job. Mr. Perry was slated to appear with other GOP presidential contenders at Senator Jim DeMint's (R-South Carolina) Palmetto Freedom Forum on Labor Day, but instead he rushed back to work as a roaring wildfire raced across Central Texas.

Rushed? Oh brother.....rushed would have been leaving Saturday before having to be goaded back by the people asking where he was. A leader would do that anyway. Of course Obama and Perry have very similar priorities.

A governor belongs in his state during an emergency.

He sure does. To bad Perry went at his convenience instead of when he should have been there. Of course he had to give a campaign speech this morning while his state was burning to the ground. Yes his priorities are load and clear.

Your priorities certainly are clear.

I think you guys are just upset he missed the debate. Imagine. You could have turnd his every sentence somehow into the smoking gun that would destroy his reputation as a conservative AND chastised him for not putting his state first. Would have been win/win for you guys.

Load and clear?

Suck it up, Jasper. He is going to be our nominee, whether YOU like it or not.

And what is napscoordinator’s “priority” in making this post? As if it isn’t so obvious, it’s hanging out all over.

Get thee to a timeline of events and thee will see that the article’s summation sentence is exactly factual.

That he rushed back as a roaring wildfire raced across Central Texas.

On my state/local news programming, just now this evening they are showing utterly shocked residents of the affected area, as they describe the sudden overtaking of the area and the rooftops of homes with a few sparks that ignited a tenderbox and quickly destroyed huge areas, on its way to overtaking much more massive amounts of property. They were begging for people who had horse trailers to come in from other areas beyond the fire to emergency evacuate horses that were in the fire’s path, before they would die in the fire. These people and the responders are in shock at how fast this is happening and how overwhelming it is.

That did not happen Saturday, that just happened and Perry rushed back in concert with it.

Clue to the clueless: you only make yourself look bad, not Rick Perry.

I heard about the fires in Texas last week. I heard about them Saturday. I heard about them yesterday. Sorry I get the info and the gov doesn’t. Sheesh. Maybe he was busy.

You are dishonest.

I would welcome the chance to say that to your face.

I know of fires in earlier stages. In Texas we have been having this problem for many months. Only today did the particular development that was so quick, extreme, severe and rapidly spreading and massively destructive happen.

That fact is all over my local and state news.

Keep it up and remove all doubt that you are as dishonest as they come.

I’m pretty sure the only one who gets to do that to Mrs. Palin is Mr. Palin.

I think you are dishonest too. You have an agenda. Look where you are from! You love the guy and that is your bottom line.

Perry ought to hide his head in shame that some of his supporters think oral sex jokes about Palin supporters pass for an argument.

Oh gosh, another Palin suck-up.

I can’t wait for the day when Palin finally admits it’s all been a tease, endorses Perry and you ninnies all get your well deserved comeuppance

My agenda is defeating Obama and booting Harry Reid.

My agenda includes willingness to vote for Sarah Palin, or Rick Perry, or Michelle Bachmann or Herman Cain.

You cannot refute the facts. So you switch to accusing me of doing what you did, which is lie.

I haven’t lied.

I’m open and up front. I stated the facts of the sudden and severe turn in the wildfires that Texas has been coping with for many months, and how Perry’s return tracked with the events of today, not Saturday or last week.

I’m telling the truth. It’s all over my news here in Texas. Do you get that...all I have to do is turn on my news and the proof of your lies is in every word and picture.

I’m also telling the truth that I will happily vote for any of the four people I named.

Got you beat by miles, buddy, for not being dishonest.

Is this what you meant by the use of that word? Pretty disgusting and reprehensible, especially for FR! What is this becoming the DU sewer!!!-

www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=quim - CachedSimilar You +1'd this publicly. Undo Apr 7, 2005 – The noun quim was a Victorian-era word that was used specifically to refer to the fluids produced by the vagina, specifically during orgasm.

I have no connection to that, as you know. You be ashamed for connecting me to it. Napscoordinator started this thing by lying on the facts, and I called him on it. Sarah Palin indeed should be ashamed of what he, and now you, are doing in her name. Not ashamed of herself, ashamed of you.
